Seahawks Player Lashes Out at #BlackLivesMatter Leader for Misappropriating His Image
Truth Revolt ^ | 9/14/2015 | Mark Tapson/Richard Sherman

Posted on 09/15/2015 12:36:15 PM PDT by mojito

Racist Black Lives Matter leader “King Noble” made the mistake of assuming that every black man is onboard with the movement. As reported at Newsbusters, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman discovered that Noble posted the picture above of Sherman and a teammate in a post suggesting that the athlete approved of murdering whites. He expressed his disapproval in no uncertain terms on Noble's own website.

LANGUAGE WARNING:

“I did not believe this when I heard about it. I watched your videos. I started a life in the ghetto..I banged like a fool till I woke up. I was not suppressed by any man or woman, white or black.

I worked myself up from Compton High School to a scholarship at Stanford University and I did it myself. I take pride in what I have accomplished both as a black man, and an athlete. I could have stayed in LA and banged and used drugs and thought that it was all the white man’s fault. But that would be a lie. We are who we want to be, that is what is great about America. We are all born with the same chances in life..white or black…YOU choose to be a woman-abusing racist loudmouth. I would love to debate you on national TV. And if you condone senseless black shootings of whites and police officers, you better make that a debate on Springer, so I can bitchslap your ignorant ass!

You are what is keeping and making the black race look bad. Wake up fool. Do not glorify this half a man, he has worked for nothing. He chose to keep himself where he is, not the white people. It is time to take responsibility for your own actions, and not act like a stinking fool. Kids and young black men and women look at this site, and believe that they are abused. That is a bold-faced lie. It is out of the mouths of cheap thugs like you that are hurting our young and taking away the chances they have to make themselves a productive part of society. Brothers and sisters: the only slavery in America now is the one you put yourself into. Rise up like Doctor King as taught us, and be a real human being. We are all in this togehter, white and black. Peace to all, and I hope this stupid fake hate stops real soon. We are all brothers and sisters. Do not be fooled by the tyranny of evil men like this. Lift yourself up, educate yourselves, and work hard for a good life. No one owes you anything. Stand proud as a person of color, and do something meaningful with your life. I did and I am the best at what I do! Peace out, R Sherman.”

So, what does M. Lynch have to say about this

Lynch is a man who goes out of his way to avoid the media spotlight. I doubt if he would approve of his image being used in this way.

I know some here may dislike Sherman for the brashness of his on-field persona, but it took some courage to take a stand like this.

Count me in that Group, and count me as someone who just had his mind changed.
He hit the all the nails on the head. We want to see what is holding us back? - Just look in the mirror.
Basically a secular versions of the fact that we are all sinners - in the same boat. He left out the part that we are saved only through the Grace of God - but from a secular viewpoint - spot on.

I apologize for previous misjudgments of character (although the way he took off on Crabtree was uncalled for)...

That was an excellent statement. Unfortunately, the people he directed it to may not be able to read.

So, what does M. Lynch have to say about this, before everyone gets all misty eyed?

but he sure is opinionated about candy!

Good interview that shows a nice side to the guy......

So far different from the idiotic questions from the U.S. Media designed to create controversy..........

As a side note, he should have said he would have preferred the marshmallows roasted over a campfire......I think he was being polite.

If Sherman really wrote this, then I am now a fan of his.

MarShawn does VERY little talking, especially to the media (’I’m just here so I won’t get fined’ ring a bell)? I haven’t seen anywhere that he’s said anything about it, probably letting Sherm take care of it. Nothing misty eyed here, I just love Richard Sherman in all his brashness.

King Noble is just doing what Obama, the rest of the Race Industry and the Democrats want him to do.

The back-story for both Lynch and Sherman are pretty amazing. As I would imagine many of the stories of pro-atheletes. Parents that cared for them and watched out for them and a family that stuck together. I think it is Sherman's dad that still drives a garbage truck like he has done his entire life.

The first time I heard of Sherman was the post Superbowl game and I thought he was a loud-mouthed jerk. Over time, however, I have heard him speak outside the emotion of winning a Superbowl, and he is articulate and thinks before he speaks.

I had the same experience after the NFC Championship, being aided by the interesting demeanor of the interviewer (Ed Werder), who approached Sherman with a knowing smile and fearlessness in the face of Sherman's loudmouthed jerkishness that indicated he expected something interesting and delightful and hilarious. So, thus tipped off, I've watched him, seen his biovideo, etc., and now find another confirmation here.

As a Trojan myself, I try not to let his Stanford affiliation poison me against him. As old SC football coach John McKay said before the Stanford game, "If we're leading 1,992-0 and score a touchdown, we're going for two."

Thanks for the reminder. I saw that on Sherman's biovideo that he did with his brother. I know Compton quite well, so that added even more interest for me.

The way Sherman has behaved publicly, it’s no wonder they thought he was one of them.

Apparently, you've seen a very limited sample of his public behavior. Several of us on this thread have already remarked on our approval of what we've seen of him publicly, quite aside from this latest. For example, see posts # 11, 14, 16, 17, 34, 36.
