Really.
Working in radio for 30 years I know there is a lot of pressure. The bigger you get, the more pressure.
Deadlines, constant revisions of copy, strange hours and disrupted “normal” life all take their toll.
Some of the reasons I stayed relatively low level but still lasted a LONG time in Pittsburgh, always in top 5 stations.
News is a REAL killer. You have to be special to withstand the daily assaults not just from listeners but special interests.
In a Very BLUE demo I was doing news from a right wing perspective. Pressure? I ate it for breakfast then had seconds for lunch.
