Sorry I wasnt more specific but when I think of Carson I think of what I have heard/read about him over the past few months and its all pretty good, IMHO.
The speculation is irrelevant to my original point. Intellectual response rather than military response was unacceptable to me and to you as well. On 9/11/2001 when I heard the plane hit the first tower I told my wife it was bin Laden.
I also posted the same thing on 9/11 here at FR before 90% of the MSM even knew who he was. So we both have history there.
But I am confused by your comments then and now. 9/11 was not an individual event, it was the culmination of a long series of attacks by jihadists on Americans and American interests. That Muslim boil needed to be lanced militarily, not by intellectual discourse.
You know all of this already though. You’re a smart well informed guy. I differ with Bush on how we should have fought and who we should have targeted and killed but I won’t be voting for anybody who thinks we should not have responded militarily to the jihadists boil in the Middle East and Northern Africa.

Do not ever think a physician knows more than you. Many are not trained in CPR! While that physician was kneeling and just LOOKING at the 12 year old, who was not breathing and whose lips were blue, I arrived, knelt down and simply lifted the kid’s chin. He began breathing and all the color came back.
I was working as a flight attendant at the time. The parents wrote to the airline (United) and thanked the physician. Said he was a hero.
Whatever.

I think that’s a major point— babies are most susceptible to disease in their first year, which is why it’s important to vaccinate early, especially in a daycare setting.
And I have no horse in the race yet!
Love that story about Lilly and glad your family didn’t listen to the therapist’s advice! As I read I kept thinking those are the signs of a very smart child and hoped her parents hadn’t medicated her! (Although I am not against medication for things like ADHD in all cases.)
