“I agree - you have to be your own health advocate. I’ve never had a flu shot, either. You must be allowed to work without getting the flu shot.... I thought a lot of hospitals, etc. require you to get one.”
It’s sad....
I have googled symptoms and have told physicians what I thought I had. I felt I knew more than they. When my mom was in the hospital, I had suggested what she needed, and they agreed. I’m not any smarter than a physician, but they do need help and suggestions.

I was in a situation on an airplane, at 37,000 feet, when they announced a request for a physician. Not knowing if there was a physician onboard, I volunteered as a nurse. I saved a 12 year olds life when the physician did not know what to do.
