In a race to represent California in the U.S. Senate, Republican Carly Fiorina has emphasized her "real-world" business experience as chief executive officer of one of the world's largest tech companies. But Fiorina's controversial six-year tenure as CEO of computer-maker Hewlett Packard has also been used by Democrats to attack her.
The latest attack ad from Sen. Barbara Boxer picks up on a thread introduced in the primary -- accusing Fiorina of laying off tens of thousands of workers at HP, shipping jobs overseas and all the while padding her own bank account and toy box.
Here's what the announcer in the Democratic incumbent's ad says: "As CEO of HP, Carly Fiorina laid off 30,000 workers. Fiorina shipped jobs to China.
"And while Californians lost their jobs, Fiorina tripled her salary, bought a million-dollar yacht and five corporate jets ... Carly Fiorina. Outsourcing jobs. Out for herself."

Here are the ads Boxer ran to destroy Fio-RINO.
Thats why Fio-RINO is the new designated loser for the GOPe because Hillary will recycle these ads and win:

Oh. Wait.
Ha! Love it.
This from the woman who has “represented” California as tens of thousands of jobs have moved to Texas and other states.
I really, really, really, really wish Fiorina would have won against Boxer. She would make a great senator from California. But she’s not qualified to be president.
These ads worked. Boxer won and Fio-RINO lost.
Fiorina has an unusual BIO and it appears she has only done one or two things exceptionally well and everything else has been a flop. She did well at ATT, but; before and after she was and is a failure. She is way over her head. She bats her fake eyelashes and bitches if she gets any remarks.
Sure looks like “I” in Icarly seems to fit.
Tank a company and give yourself extravagance on the company’s dime.
Fiorina was forced to resign....and took a $21 million dollar package with her...plus
Not a doubt in my mind.
Yup.
A politician can always mitigate their hand in job loses because they aren’t kings, and can always blame multiple layers of local, state, and federal agencies, which isn’t totally untrue.
A CEO, whose major international tech company they ran almost goes under and is STILL cleaning up the mess literally as of today after firing you for incompetence, cant just shrug that off.
Those are everyday people that are getting hosed because of your really bad moves. That WILL resonate with average people in an economy like this.
I say the below having experience working with both the VC/entrepreneur crowd and in Corporate America. Take it for what it is worth. . .
What bugs me is that Fiorina is attacking Trump regarding his bankruptcies. Being a CEO and being an entrepreneur are just not the same. A guy like Trump can make terrible business decisions, take a chance that doesn’t work out and fail, etc. He can also succeed and for the most part does. Going into the deal (whatever it is) his investors know his track record and choose to take the risk with him on whatever his venture is. But make no mistake, at the end of the day it is Trump’s arse on the line. He bears some personal financial risk for failure.
A CEO, not so much. To be a CEO is by nature to contractually insulate yourself from personal financial risk. Sure, no CEO of a publicly traded company wants to be shown the door because it is done in a public manner. But if tomorrow I offered anyone on freerepublic a job where if you fail you get a multi-million dollar severance package, who wouldn’t take it? I have known some CEO’s who were almost gleeful the day they were shown the door.
Trump-bankruptcy and the chance to pick himself up and try again.
Fiorina-42 Million and, really, the chance to do politics as a hobby or just, quite frankly, do nothing. All for running HP into the ground.
Good points.
Yep.
Every Battleground State and several Red States will get blasted by CA Ads.
Its sad since FineSwine was involved in outsourcing too but it will never be reported.
Boxer’s ads destroyed Fio-RINO. Carly lost by 10 points which was way worse than was expected.
Baggage? I don't have any baggage.
When the Obama/Hillary Administration laid off soldiers to downsize the military, they sent pink slips to men on the battlefield in Afghanistan. Many of them were Majors close to full retirement.
Ask Hillary if she supported Obama sending pick slip to men/women on the battlefield? Does she support laying off people right before retirement?
how about if boxer lowered the TAX RATES driving business OFFSHORE,,,???
HOW BOUT... FOGEDABOUT
