Trump is in rare company. It pretty much doesn’t matter what he says or does, it doesn’t change people’s mind on him. Obama and the boy wonder Clinton has this ability.

If he is the nominee, I’ll vote for him, but not until the only other choice is a Democrat.

At present, I might agree. I might even show up in the primary season to vote in the Demo primary rather than the Republican primary, and slide another vote to Bernie (just in hope of making this kinda interesting in November).

Trumps value proposition is primarily “non-politician”, and that’s why so many people are supporting him. Look at any survey or poll, and the one thing people from all political stripes will agree on is that they’re sick to death of politics-as-usual. And no matter what Trump says or does, he will always be a non-politician, so the level of support remains solid.

It’s kind of like asking a lifetime fan of a sports team why they still support their team even after a losing season. It’s because they’re still “da Bears” (or whatever..)
