The former director of the Nobel Institute regrets his decision to award Barack Obama the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009. Recall this was prior to Obama accomplishing anything other than pulling the wool over the eyes of the Nobel committee and the majority of Americans. Geir Lundestad, who also awarded the prize to terrorist Yassir Arafat, stated in his memoir, “We thought it would strengthen Obama and it didn’t have this effect.” I beg to differ.
The Nobel Prize no doubt bloated Obama’s already overinflated ego. Perhaps it also empowered him to ignore the wishes and values of the American people as he projected his own disdainful attitude of American power across the globe. The results are not pretty. In fact, Nobel Peace Prize Obama is directly responsible for the deaths of Americans, Syrians, Iraqis, Iranians, Libyans, Yemenis, Egyptians, Nigerians, and Ukrainians, not to mention the displacement of millions from their former homes.
Kassem Eid, a member of the Syrian opposition living in D.C., penned an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal describing his shock and disappointment upon learning that Obama ignored the plight of the Syrian people because he feared upsetting the Iranians. Without remorse, Obama ignored “the torture of protesters, the rape of women, the bombardment of civilians, the barrel bombs, the massacres, the sieges, the starvation, and the gassing of hundreds of innocents with sarin in August 2013.

Pardon my ignorance but does anybody know what -exactly- did the Nobel folks cite as the reason for handing the award to this phony?
Was it just all the “we are five days from healing the planet...” crap??

Let’s briefly set aside the fact that the Prize was conferred on Barack Obama and concentrate on the reason the Nobel Committee awarded the Prize in the first place.
Since when do we give out awards and prizes to someone who hasn’t even accomplished a damned thing? They wanted to do it solely because they thought it would strengthen Obama?!
On the criteria alone, the Nobel Committee should be disbanded and no more awards given out EVER!. I only know a little of Alfred Nobel - but somehow I have to think that he’s rolling in his grave right now at how this committee besmirched his good name and efforts.

Just what I figured... Absolutely nothing.
Not only that, but actually doing the OPPOSITE over the past 6+ years.
That’s what happens when you turn the Nobel Peace Prize into a participation medal.
Let’s also keep in mind that this prize was given to Obama barely 10 months after he took office.
Instead of waiting for Obama to establish a legacy for his administration, they simply gave the award in haste.
Tells you a lot about the mindset of this committee.
Those brilliant Europeans.
They didn’t want a cowboy President.
Now they have a stampede on their continent.
They haven’t learned. He is getting a second one this year or at least there is talk of giving him one. I could care less if they give him one every year because after not giving Reagan one who brought peace throughout the World and he didn’t get one.........pffff.
They gave their Piss Prize to an incompetent and now Europe is being invaded. They are finally connecting the dots and are not too happy about it. It’s the same thing with liberals everywhere. They think that liberalism is the way to go until they actually get what they asked for. Then they blame everybody else but themselves when it all falls apart.

What it all says is that the Nobel Peace Prize is in reality a prize given to anyone who will/might/can influence the world to accept a communist society. It is not the only good intention sounding organization that uses it’s wealth to promote an agenda.
The Nobel Peace Prize committee - unlike the committee for Nobel Science Prizes - is a creature of the Norwegian Parliament.
- Article 1 Section 9:
- No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States: and no person holding any office of profit or trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state
Obama isn’t the first POTUS to receive and accept the Peace Prize, but he should be the last - until and unless the prize is posthumously awarded to Reagan. And even then . . .
Therefore Congress should act to preemptively deny any sitting POTUS the right to accept a Nobel Prize without an affirmative Act of Congress (which is, after all, the extent of Congress’ power in the matter).
