Trump promises his plan will be 'great' for middle income residents, businesses

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Republican front-runner Donald Trump said Wednesday he will unveil his tax plan next week, which will call for middle class tax cuts and hikes for hedge fund managers.

"(It) will be very long on policy and will be a great plan, with a major reduction in taxes for the middle class," Trump said at a town hall meeting in Columbia, South Carolina, at the University of South Carolina.

Trump promised that his plan would be "great" for middle income residents and businesses, but not so much for hedge fund managers, who he has turned into political punching bags of late.

I wonder if it will look much like the plan people have been talking about-the graduated flat tax type.

In any matter, no such plan can/will work until Obamacare is eliminated. It will have to address that first before it could be moved forward.

@realDonaldTrump: Incompetent @RichLowry lost it tonight on @FoxNews. He should not be allowed on TV and the FCC should fine him!

Why wait to see the plane. Trump's a chump. He's a rude insensitive racist. Even the mass murdering Mexican drug kingpins hate him. Lets put the adults in charge!☺

Every politican who seems to be in the running on both sides is exploiting the “middle class” . Heck, these politicians are the very ones that destroyed it and it burns me to crisp to a crisp to think people would fall for this crap.

On The Donald and his tax plan ? he’s using the middle class too & you can do all the tax cuts you want but you GOTTA’have the jobs, too. This economy is not flourishing as it should.
& i’m sick of tired of these scumbag politicians going to wash dc and putting $$’s in their pockets instead of their constituents-regardless of class.

I’m sick and tired of this country being run as a deficit on ALL levels and being told “it’s all good”.

American can’t balance it’s checkbook - it’s overdrawn.

Any normal household / family/ etc... can’t run what they have on a negative balance and be constantly overdrawn can they?

The Donald needs to get the tax plan together along with creating jobs & I ain’t talking that 15$ hr pizza or Mickey D jobs blather that’s been hyped by these slimeball politicians going all the way up to the head of this stinkin’ fish .

there’s 94mil people not in the workforce.

An article was posted last week supposedly laying out Trump’s tax plan. I believe it was garnered from his book and outlined a top tax rate of 15% with 3 lower rates for lower incomes. I’m assuming next week’s release will track closely with that.

Trump will be able to lay his plan on the table, but he won’t be able to explain detail one.

Trump’s supporters need to get him up to speed on the clarification of Congress’s limited power to appropriate taxes by state sovereignty-respecting justices. With a few constitutionally enumerated exceptions, these justices had basically indicated that Congress is prohibited from appropriating taxes for anything that it cannot justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.
“Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States.” —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

As mentioned in related threads, the reason that federal taxes are so unconstitutionally high is the following imo. The corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Senate is not doing its job to protect the states as the Founding States had intended for it to do.

More specifically, the Senate is not killing House appropriations bills which not only steal 10th Amendment-protected state powers, but also steal state revenues associated with those powers.

The ill-conceived 17th Amendment needs to disappear, and corrupt senators who help the corrupt House to pass unconstitutional appropriations bills along with it.
