Start taking funding from something else baby-killers love.

Do it again, then do it again . . .

I thought spending bills only needed a simple majority?

“I thought spending bills only needed a simple majority?”

Correcto. But Mitchie won’t invoke the nuclear option because then Obie will veto and the govt will shut down. That is too much like work for Mitch.

McConnell is all for Planned Parenthood so don't be expecting him to add one iota to the fight.

Mitch McConnell And The Planned Parenthood Atom Bomb

Mitch McConnell can't and won't defuse the Planned Parenthood atom bomb that's going to go off in Washington at the end of the month.

Why even have a friggin Senate. They don’t do nothing except whine worse than Bonehead.

Thinking ahead to next election....do I really want to vote for an incumbent? NOPE! Throw the bums out! Local, County, State, Federal...ALL of them!

I can’t for the sake of me see why the GOP which has a majority won’t even try to by pass the stalling worts. They would do it in a heartbeat if roles were reversed.

Like I said in previous posts, if we could get 10 to 15 or so Cruz like people elected to the Senate, they would hold the power, more than either an Dem or Rep party plurality, no one would hold a majority.

“What am I missing?”

Nothing. It’s political theater; nobody has any intention of doing a thing.

The House passes a bill that they know the Senate will kill. That way House Republicans can show us what a great job they’re doing, and the Senate Republicans can show the country how they’re willing to stand up against the “extremists” and appear oh-so moderate.

Making an actual difference has never been the goal. As far as they’re concerned this is all working perfectly.

What could REALLY happen if 5 million conservatives decided screw you government, stopped ALL payroll deductions and DID NOT pay anymore taxes what in the world would the government do???? I WOULD LOVE to see this happen, with social media now it actually COULD happen!!!!!!
This government has done nothing but squander citizens hard earned dollars and laughed in ALL of our faces!!!! For crying out loud how many IRS employees owe hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes, along with many, many other government workers!!!! Let’s not forget good ole Al Sharpton!!!!! Why on earth do WE continue to tolerate this!!!!!

Come on, now. It’s not like there’s a Constitutional obligation to pass a budget or anything, right?

I mean, we all have to pay our taxes to fund those things govt has passed (that implies legally, and LAWFULLY, as well), do we not?!

Jus’ think of the chil’ren /s (do I NEED it)

Who are the 8 republicans that voted with the Dems?

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3340876/posts

The vote divided Republicans, with eight of them breaking ranks. Sens. Kelly Ayotte (N.H.), Susan Collins (Maine), Tom Cotton (Ark.), Dean Heller (Nev.) Mark Kirk (Ill.), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), Rand Paul (Ky.) and Ben Sasse (Neb.) all voted against moving forward…

After the vote, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) filed a new short-term spending bill that would fund the government and Planned Parenthood…

More information at the thread
