PROFESSORS CONFESS: TRUMP AS LIKELY AS JEB! TO WIN IN 2016
Breitbart ^ | 9/25/15 | NEIL MUNRO

Posted on 09/25/2015 6:16:12 PM PDT by Amntn

Donald Trump has a better shot at the presidency than Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)80% and is just as likely to win the 2016 election as Jeb Bush, say two embarrassed political scientists.

We know they’re embarrassed by their discovery because their Washington Post article buried that news far, far into their math-heavy, thumb-sucking, 20-paragraph, Sept. 25 perambulation.

In their article, the two academics first did some tricks with numbers, multiplied some percentages, added a few assumptions — and then subtracted their interesting conclusion from the lede.

Weird — why would they subtract their conclusion?

Because they concluded that Donald Trump “has a 54 percent chance of being elected president if he is the GOP nominee… [and] he is as electable as [Jeb] Bush and [John] Kasich and more electable than [Carly] Fiorina and [Marco] Rubio.”

Now that’s a conclusion worth putting in the lede, even though it assumes there will be no third-party candidate.

I wondered why a PAC for Cruz was giving money to her.

This says they didn’t give any money to Cruz, just to her!

I just checked the WP article and it is actually better news for Cruz!
Only because they left Trump out completely.

The political scientists don't know how to factor in the Trump factor...And that's a good thing for Trump, not Cruz.

Great interview. Scott did say that. Nice of him, I thought. Here’s a good decent man for Black youth to emulate. Sadly he’s more than likely painted White (Uncle Tom) by some Blacks.

Trumps at 32 and Jebra is at 9.

They address this by saying Trump is as likely to wind as Bush?

I guess 1 to 3 odds means to them that Bush almost has this sewn up.

LOL

Cause Cruz is naive and not self funding so he can be taken advantage of unawares. We need Mr. Trump to scour out the male cow pooh. Country not honorable enough for Cruz. Only a man with Mr. Trump’s skill can route the enemy.

So these profs don’t have a reliable measure of Trump’s conservatism—but they do of Fiorina’s?

Most open borders whores like cheap low-tech workers. Cruz likes cheap high-tech workers. There’s no difference in my book. Both are ultimately corporatist lapdogs and destroying the wages of American citizens.

Trump doesn’t need campaign contributions from a Bill Gates or a Mark Zuckerberg, Cruz does. I’d support Cruz only if he backed off on his proposed 500% increase in H1-B visas.

The most disturbing thing about the GOPe is that they are willing to deliver a candidate so weak they must know he cannot will a general election.

They don’t care if they lose, their purpose is simply to prevent us from electing anyone who would stop the illegal alien inundation

The GOPe’s only goal is to secure their place at the table. Ask yourself if Hillary Clinton becomes President in 2017 how will Mitch McConnell’s life change? Or whoever is the Speaker of the House? It won’t. They will still have their positions of status and power. I don’t think they really care who is President or they would not have pushed McStain and Romney.

Anybody but Trump or possibly Cruz will lose the general election to Hillary or Biden or whoever. Trump IMO is the only candidate who can draw enough diversity of votes to get past the voter fraud of the Dems. If somehow the GOP manages to get Jeb nominated half the GOP voting base will sit home.
