Life is not that simple. How does the treasury know if right amounts were sent? Point is a cadre of government workers are required to validate several million businesses operating in the country.

I send my tax check to Treasury. But paper work goes to IRS who validates the amount. Whether the person sits in Treasury or IRS makes little difference.

I am glad Trump’s plan is not flat tax, and more glad he is leading every poll.

Trump’s plan is a tax cut for EVERYONE, and the rich pay much more. Why is it so difficult for people to be honest about what is in front of them?

RE: and the rich pay much more.

And only question is this — WHO IS RICH?

If a family makes say, $150,000 a year, that’s hardly rich in many big cities in this country.

RE: I am glad Trump’s plan is not flat tax,

What do you dislike about the flat tax as opposed to a progressive tax?

Every bracket pays less than the current rate, so it really doesn’t matter what someone else pays. However, the upper income person paying 20% pays far more than the lower income person paying 0%.

The definition of rich is irrelevant if you are paying less. I’m paying less.

The power brokers of the world would have you assassinated. It takes away their ability to control us. By the time you are inaugurated if you win with that platform you are either bought, blackmailed, or dead. If not that, they do the same to Congress to deadlock the process.

Not to mention all the IRS employees and lawyer/accountant types screaming about losing their jobs.

From the Trump Tax Plan: “Charitable giving and mortgage interest deductions will remain unchanged for all taxpayers.”

“With this huge reduction in rates, many of the current exemptions and deductions will become unnecessary or redundant. Those within the 10% bracket will keep all or most of their current deductions. Those within the 20% bracket will keep more than half of their current deductions. Those within the 25% bracket will keep fewer deductions. Charitable giving and mortgage interest deductions will remain unchanged for all taxpayers.”

The New York Times would find something WRONG with a free lunch at a Sunday school picnic!

Sunday school WOULD be the problem.

Thanks for post the reality for tax preparers and their buddies like the NY Slimes. Trump’s plan will create massive unemployment for the tax preparers and those who depend on their ad money!

“Let’s be honest, NY Times is deeply concerned, this would significantly cut into their ad revenue come every tax season (not to mention yearly ads from accountants) - they make a tremendous amount of income off of tax preparation services making their ads each year.

If you could actually do it all yourself, in minutes, and it is transparent as to what you’re paying in taxes, you might not need all those fancy services.”

Flat tax will be required 18-22% range.

That will retard in a big way any chance of upward mobility for low to mid earners.

If you are making $25,000 and have to pay $5000 in flat tax, you ain’t going to able to put aside 10 dollars for investments/savings.

Also, a single mother or single father will be better off going on welfare than work on jobs.

I think Trump’s definition of “rich” is million dollars per year and above.

Josh apparently is following the long time tradition of drugged out Gays who hate America and American taxpayers wanting to keep their hard earned money.

“Rush said today he thinks Trump has Reagan advisors working for him because his tax plan sounds almost exactly like Reagan’s did in 1985.”

Trump is so evil. He steals the good from the dead as well the current GOP candidates for his policies! (massive sarcasm!)

RE: Canada is ranked 20th when all it has are 100,000 full time military in a nation with a population of 20 million.

That’s not how the flat tax is being proposed.

Steve Forbes’ 1996 proposal for instance, exempts the first $36,000 of a family income and anything above that is taxed at 20%.
