Looking at this from a “Left/Right” perspective the Left would say there’s a war on women because she had to pay for her birth control in the first place. The Right would say there’s a war on Muslim women because the father KILLED her for causing him embarrassment.
If the daughter had truly disgraced her family, her father could have just thrown her out of the house. The Religion of Peace strikes again.

Again, I spoke figuratively of strangling a daughter but consider this:
She is having sex out of wedlock. She is leading a less than exemplary life. She is with a guy that objectifies her (Why did she have to steal them, the guy can’t buy them? This occurred in the UK where free condoms are everywhere.) Condoms are not 100%, she contracts disease, she becomes pregnant; a guy you have to steal condoms for is not likely to be a good father or even a decent person. He may be diseased and if he is, it is unlikely that a guy that won’t buy his own condoms will inform you he is diseased.
She was on a bad road filled with bad choices. Certainly, that does not justify killing her but I can see a case for distancing myself from her. She definitely needs a stern talking to at the very least. I can definitely see myself insisting that she distance herself from this guy. No. I do not see myself strangling her.

Well, it was HER life to lead. She was 19 and employed as a dental hygienist. She DIDN’T want the arranged marriage that good old Dad wanted. I don’t condone a sexual free lifestyle but it was her decision to make. At some point in sane parents lives, there comes a time when their life is their OWN.

She shoplifted and yeah, that was wrong. But the very fact she didn’t walk into the school nurse and brazenly demand them tells me she was probably a sweet little girl, embarrassed as hell, and not one of the current crop of brazen whores.
There is actually a grand cross cultural tradition (possibly excepting Holland) of kids shoplifting condoms because they felt too embarrassed to face a pharmacist.
And how do you know he objectifies her?
Maybe they were a couple feeling in love. For all you know he never even tried anything and she just wanted to be ready because she sensed it was going that way.
And you have him as an objectifying, bad father, impregnating, diseased liarmouth.
But even if you believed all that, there is no case for distancing yourself from her. And anyway, lost likely she was a 19 year old daughter who did nothing more than have a normal sexual feeling for her boyfriend.
I bet she even had good grades in school, and her boyfriend too.
Sure her life was her own, but ask yourself, if she is gainfully employed dental hygienist why why is she stealing and why couldn’t she acquire condoms through other means. Sorry. Bad girl. Also, bad boyfriend and bad father. It is her own life which is why I said I would distance myself from her.
If the boyfriend got them, how would the father know? They only knew because of the public nature of criminal arrests.
