Ted Cruz couldn’t get anyone in the Senate to back him tonight as he tried to get a ban on Planned Parenthood funding and a linkage of the Iran Nuclear deal in a government funding bill. He stood alone on the Senate floor.
After this Cruz launched into an hour speech, one that Mark Levin just tweeted out saying it’s a MUST LISTEN. I haven’t heard the whole thing yet but didn’t want to keep it from you while I checked it out.

If it’s a banzai, it might be in support of Trump. When Ted Cruz gives a brilliant dissertation on how the GOP is broken, does it not add credence to the idea of an outsider?
Trump has positioned himself as an outsider and struggles to get the reigns of the party. A man like Cruz could be a great asset in that struggle.
It’s no accident that they’ve met and hold fire on each other.
Being pro Trump doesn’t mean being against Ted Cruz and his powerful oratory.

Ted Cruz was living conservatism when Trump was still a Democrat.

At this point pray for a Cruz VP spot.
Ted Cruz doesn’t appear to be laughing at Trump.
Trump hasn’t been attacking Cruz.
The GOPe is spending time and resources on two targets. If Trump wasn’t running, the rigged game would give us Bush.
I’ll take Cruz over any of the others in a heartbeat. But, if it happens it’s because Trump busted up the GOPe splitter plan.

The idea that Donald Trump is somehow making Ted Cruz’s conservatism either acceptable or fashionable is ludicrous.
They aren’t attacking each other. Cruz knows Trump will blow up sooner or later. But if you look at the current top tier, you’ll see people who are all running against the GOP-E. The majority of those people still don’t support Trump.
