What if Trump really intended to work with a Republican Congress to radically cut taxes and spending? Where is Trump going to find a Republican Congress willing to cut spending?
Besides, Trump has talked about spending more on defense, veterans, and infrastructure. I haven't heard him say anything about cuts.

A Republican Congress that is not saddled with a Democrat president.
The tax cuts will necessitate spending cuts. The Fed will raise the rate several times before another president is in office. There will be spending cuts or default with a real and lasting government shutdown.

Either way, those dependent on government for incomes will be cut off and will be the rioting zombies of the near future (easily cleaned up).
