LANSING (WWJ/AP) – Michigan has one of nation’s largest Middle Eastern populations and Gov. Rick Snyder says he “would love to see it grow.”
The governor says Michigan can expect to see more Syrian refugees in the coming months as his administration continues talks with federal officials about the role the state can play in taking more refugees from war-torn Syria and the Middle East.
“The governor thinks it’s an economic plus,” reported WWJ Lansing Bureau Chief Tim Skubick. “And to those who fear that the immigrants would take away jobs, the governor says, Michigan has a record of immigrants coming in and actually creating jobs.”
The Republican governor spoke Tuesday to the inaugural meeting of the state Commission on Middle Eastern American Affairs in Lansing. The board works within the Department of Civil Rights to monitor, evaluate and make recommendations to the governor.

Here’s an idea: Instead, why don’t we send back every one of them that we can? We also should close the mosques here and treat the POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY of Islam the way we treated Communism in the 1950s. Known Muslims should be carefully monitored by law enforcement.

And they’re living across the street, and their call to prayer bell ding dongs 20x’s a week, and there are foot baths in restrooms, and Korans for sale at B&N, and shops are banned from carrying any pork products, and wine festivals are null and void, and on and on. Then...these same libs move south. And they vote for this insane BS again.

For right now. Things can change. Who would have ever thought that gay marriage is in the Constitution, been there unnoticed for over two hundred years, waiting to be noticed.
Or that the “shall not be infringed” in the second amendment does not really mean “shall not be infringed”, but just the opposite. Or, if it does, it was written by white slaveholders and should not be taken seriously.
As long as slick Rick goes over and hand picks each and every one, and than he takes personal responsibility for them learning english, and assimilating, I am good with it.
