Apparently Russia is not launching such a precision bombing campaign in Syria after all.

Putin does not care about civilian casualties.
That is why he is going to smash ISIS.

If I were a ruthless Russian, I’d clean out my stockpile of dumb bombs left from WWII first.

This.
He’s going into war to wage war. Not a PR campaign like we do.

I noted this yesterday just from watching the hits.
The Russians do have fairly able PGB, but don’t have the budget or the need to use them.
They want EVERYONE to die and to break their spirit.
It’s actually a far more effective bombing strategy that pinpoint hits, if you can take the political heat and don’t have a soul.

Dumb bombs are cheap; you can use a lot of them.

The video I saw on TV this morning showed the Russians using cluster bombs. The US uses the same kind of bombs so this faux outrage to me is just that, a faux outrage from the Obama camp that’s upset that the Russians are doing the job that Obama doesn’t want to: killing ISIS regardless of what name they’re going by.

They don’t need to shoot up the expensive stuff first just to resupply the defense contractors before election time. :)

Well, we have pretty well proven that you cannot win wars against muslim savages by building them new hospitals, airports, highways, bridges, sewerage plants, power plants, water works and schools for girls.
Maybe bombing the living crap out of them will yield better results.

I find that hard to believe.

I doubt that the Russians are overly concerned about collateral damage.
Their bombing strategy is usually “bomb first, sort the casualties later” type of campaign. When you’re going after a force that isn’t easily identified, no uniforms or mixed population/militants and such, carpet bombing tends to be messy, yet effective.
