You know, it is labeled “populism” if a person listens and stands for the American citizen voter.
Is representing the actual citizen and representing their wishes “pandering”? Maybe, but that is what it is all about.

I agree. I don’t shy away from populist candidates.
They are all populists to their constituency. Their constituency thinks their polices are what the U. S. needs.
The word isn’t used for a bad connotation unless the person is very successful at it, and the person making the comment doesn’t support them.
I realize the term is usually used contingent on the policy being America First to the detriment of other nations or poeple. It fits here too IMO.
