I don’t agree with Matthews most of the time, but here he absolutely nails it. In essence he’s saying: The reason gov’t doesn’t work is because they are working for their own reelection, rather than doing what’s right for the country. If he isn’t right, one is hard-pressed to make a cogent argument for using your tax dollars to buy cell phones for deadbeats. They are buying votes, period. Immigration? Voter ID’s? Smaller gov’t? You name it. Everything they do is for their own benefit, not ours.

Wow, nice find. Interesting that he doesn’t say that on the air at MSLSD, but instead in an inside-baseball type of forum.

Shocked to say this but Matthews is 100% correct. It is what is wrong with Washington. One side gets elected saying they are for one thing, and one side the other. Once they get there, they talk, give speeches and try to get re-elected. Nothing EVER gets done and if it does it is not in the best interest of the American people. This goes for both sides. I have not faith in the career politicians.

Ping to a 1:21 minute video of a Chris Matthews "gaffe" .... worth listening to ...

* gaffe = candidly telling a truth that that the speaker's primary followers will be furious that he revealed it.

Matthews is an idiot.

There is no “genius” here.

There is no “genius” political consultant advising Trump.

You find that “genius” at FR everyday, otherwise known as “common sense”.

Matthews whole conception of reality is upside down. He’s spent waaaay too much time as a talking head leftist.

He needs to get out to flyover county a little more. That’s where the “genius” is.

Matthews has a small kernel of decency in him, that comes out from time to time.

This is why I think the man can win. Because even some dyed-in-the-wool lefties find his message resounding. And his message is simple: Cut the crap and do things right. Make things work. Up is up; down is down. Don't bother me with theories; get results. Better, faster, cheaper.

This is the essence of doing business successfully: effectiveness, innovation, market share, profitability, a respected brand.

Watch the Youtube Video of Mighty Planes about Trump's 757.

The Trump you see on that Video is nothing like the guy you see in the Campaign. He demands perfection and his Employees provide it. His personal Pilot is top notch. I thought it was an interesting look behind the curtain.

It was also interesting that his personal assistant is a Woman that has worked for him for over 20 Years. A real Misogynist that Trump must be. LOL

I think it was filmed back in 2012 since there was a reference to rump watching a Presidential Debate.

Mathews will never really get it, because he thinks positions on issues don’t have any intrinsic value, but are merely tools a candidate uses to get elected. Notice that he admires Trump for bringing up the immigration issue, not because it’s the right thing to do, but because it ‘grabs people’, or whatever words it was, he used to describe it.

If I didn’t know any better, I’d say Mathews actually agrees with Trump on the substance of what he says. Chris actually almost looked a little teary eyed. Dare I say, could a whisper of a tingle could be calling to his leg?
