Needed information: What has Assad done to the USA to justify our training and equipping anyone there? How do we know that the people we are training and equipping are significantly better than ISIS?
Obama’s own Bay of Pigs moment.
Syria is friends with Russia, as is Serbia. That's why we bombed Serbia. That's why we want to bomb Assad too. I think that the US miscalculated something somewhere. That happens when you make alliances with the worst of all people on Earth.
At least somebody is killing the groups Obama had trained and equipped. The next U.S. president and administration would eventually have to do it. If somebody has to spend blood and treasure on the job I’d prefer it’s Russian blood and treasure. Maybe McCain can go over and tie himself to a fence post as a human shield?
We have been arming and training ISIS since the start of this civil war. Benghazi was an arms running operation to them, with the help of Turkey. Every Syrian Rebel group we have armed, funded and trained, has turned into ISIS. There is NO EVIDENCE, that the Free Syrian Army, will do anything different.
