I would add getting kicked out of any boot camp and be turned down by a recruiter for obvious issues.
My last 3 years in the Naval Reserve, I was a recruiter at my reserve meetings in the Mid 1960’s. You develop skills of interviewing and learn to listen to your gut/instincts that certain people aren’t the ones, who would not want to be shipmates with or near.

Also monitor the losers separated from the military for behavioral problems.
Bergdahl got booted from my alma mater the USCG..thats a red flag if not a phosphorus aerial display type notifier.
