With Gowdy tossing in the towel to move home to be with his family it pretty much rules him out. Not that anyone could be blamed for that reason but I sure wish Gowdy would continue his political career because we need him. Cruz would be great too and would prep him for a later Presidential run.

Wishful thinking on the part of the others (candidates), though he undoubtedly is weighing each of the other candidates, assessing them for 'positions'.
If he were to select Cruz as running mate, I could see Crispy Crème as a possible attorney general.
As for Ben Carson...wasn't stated...HHS?...think about the unthinkable...SCOTUS! You do not have to be a member of the bar for appointment! Would he dare?
