Every time I see a state dept. spokesman on TV I begin to think our government is being run by sophomore poly sci majors. They are a terrible combination of arrogance and ignorance.
No, Israel actually is good for Putin...
He has Jews in Russia who would love to come back and they are not loved where they are. Make Israel stable and most would return, good for everybody and he will never deal with Muslims or their ilk

Groups such as ISIS also very much work on ideological basis/foundation, which can’t be destroyed by bombs, no matter who drops the bombs on them.
So, don’t fuel the ideology in any way - socially, economically or through military aid and training, because any of them will only embolden them.

Damn, we need to fire a lot of Generals. They’ve been bombing the sh!t out of something over there; however, it sure wasn’t ISIS HQ ... for a good year they couldn’t even find it!!!!!! Luckily our Generals were saved by those “lucky” Russian pilots who stumbled onto the ISIS HQ in less than two weeks...... just really lucky I guess.
