I’m sick to death of a lot of you Cruz supporters who keep regurgitating - he’s no conservative. Now, Cruz is my 2nd choice and my choice for VP. But, apparently, Trump is conservative enough to be Cruz’s friend - and for me - Trump is enough conservative to pass the smell test. He’s certainly more conservative than the majority of those running. I don’t think Cruz is going to have a crossover effect - in fact, I know he isn’t and we need this election. So, please stop spewing the “he’s no conservative” mantra - it’s tiresome and totally untrue.

I agree on that last part. I’m not in the game either. It’s like watching a movie. I’ve not had tv since 1997. I’m no longer part of this culture.

Several? These types of anecdotes are of little value. Get back to reporting real news.

"I agree on that last part. I’m not in the game either."

As a long timer here and reader of your posts, I don't quite agree on the last part of the above.

Your posts suggest otherwise, that your head and heart are very much in the game, whether Trump is in it or not.

Amen and ditto.

Trump’s policies and fighting attitude are the EXACT policies...and spine...we conservatives have been screaming for.

To say he’s “not a conservative or not conservative enough” is defeatist and telling. Maybe they truly don’t want to win this one. RINO soldiers.

Most people want freedom and opportunity. They don’t want to be dependent on an evil government.

I’ve been pointing this out for a couple of months now. It’s frustrating that nobody is talking about 20th non-republican support he has. Its why I think he’ll win if he wins the nomination. And I don’t see that as a good thing. He’s no conservative.

...

Similar things were said about Reagan, and he had his Reagan Democrats.

Trump isn’t perfect, but he’s the best we got with a shot of winning. I like Cruz, but I don’t know if he can get to the lead.

Sharyl is right as rain.

I hear this all the time here in the deep South from strangers, both black and white, whenever I’m out because, just like Leni, (Minute Gal) I wear my ‘MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN TRUMP’ caps.

As soon as Jim posts the new thread and the first incoming Donations, I have to run errands and I’m going to wear my black TRUMP cap to HOME DEPOT, the PET SUPPLY STORE, the KANGAROO STORE, KROGER’S & THE MEDICAL CLINIC to pick up a script.

I guarantee y’all that even though I intend to whip through all my stops in a hurry, I will be approached by at least 2 different people at each stop to talk about DONALD TRUMP whether I’m in the check out line or shopping in a store’s aisle!

Furthermore, at least one of those people at each stop will be FOR TRUMP, if not both, and if both are black, both will be FOR TRUMP!

I’m certain the Home Depot men will be FOR TRUMP. Ditto for the Pet Supply.

In practice, who do you think would have a better chance of actually cutting government? Cruz or Trump? I don’t think it will be any contest. Trump will be able, and willing, to cut ineffective, wasteful crap and will push it through. Cruz would be seen as an ideologue and would be resisted at every level. Trump can do it on the basis of “efficiency.”

My wife says I spend an entire movie predicting what is gonna happen next, plot twists, who is REALLY the bad guy, etc.

I’m doing the same thing here. It’s why I bought my farm in central KY TWO WEEKS BEFORE the 2008 election. AND I THOUGHT MCCAIN WOULD WIN.

The die is cast. There is no human solution to our situation, and it is about the whole world, not just the U.S.

It really doesn’t matter much who we elect. It will only determine which bad road we take to the same destination.

Like I said, I’m an observer, sharing the occasional warning. The smart Jews in Nazi Germany did not right the Germans. They fled.

Exactly. I’ve called out that just as we had Reagan democrats, we now have Trump democrats and independents. And for the same reason: people are thrusting for a true leader in desperate times. The ONLY candidate that pounds that message home is Trump.

Other than Cruz he’s got the most conservative platform in the race so far.

It’s hard to say because African-Americans have been thoroughly indoctrinated into the liberal mindset, especially the educated elite, but I’ve always thought that immigration should be an issue that splits a significant amount of black votes from the Democratic Party. The “man on the street” in South Central sees that once illegal aliens/Latinos get a foothold inside of a particular workplace, neighborhood, school, apartment complex, etc., it won’t be long before blacks are completely frozen out. “On the block” in South Central, it’s not unusual to see a Latino family, the wife is at home working the system for welfare checks, food stamps, health care, education, etc., while the husband is driving a late model SUV back and forth between job sites, pulling down $200-300 a day tax free. If Trump is credible on that one issue, I would think he gets at least double what anyone else has gotten. Put that together with a substantial number of blacks who’ve dealt with him for decades speaking up for him, and his celebrity appeal, I would be surprised if he doesn’t push toward 25% in the general election. Add a bit more if he can really bring home the case on jobs, because the majority of black do want to work, but the opportunities are just not there like they used to be.

You're so right on, Onyx!

I wore my red "MAGA" Trump cap to the supermarket yesterday and AGAIN was stopped by two different folks who wanted to know how and where to get the cap....information I happily provided.

Even if you have a face that would stop a clock...wear a Trump cap and you'll stop a voter!

So tell us which candidate meets your standards of conservatism, and what his current poll numbers are?

Fred Trumps partner was Jewish and loved Donnie. He was as much of a mentor as his father
His daughter’s inlaws are orthodox and she and her children have converted.
Trump has been accepted and honored by the NYC Jewish community for decades.

"He’s no conservative."

I'll settle for "pro-America" right now.
