....According to Adams, when Trump describes Jeb Bush as low energy, Carly Fiorina as robotic, or Ben Carson as nice, he's imprinting a label you already feel about these people. They're not random insults, but linguistic kill shots that you can never get out of your mind....

I made this very same argument when I posted the article about "little Rube" yesterday.
Trump is writing another book, and it's far more powerful and insightful than Alinski's Tactics.
He has an uncanny ability to find his opponents weakest point...and it's NOT policy...but public persona...and just nuking it.

I have been saying this to friends for several months. But I add that he is also an ‘entertainer’ which in this age of ‘bread and circuses’ will win the masses.

I wondered when someone would catch on, I live with a man like this. It is really fun!

What happens when the tables get turned on him? Trump’s not exactly a hard figure to lampoon.

Trump has dared do many things that political correctness has been attempting (and largely succeeding) to intimidate the body politic out of doing. He is breaking the hypnotic spell. That gives him a huge amount of goodwill and that insulates him against lampooning. Lampooning works better against figures who have worn their welcome thin.

Trump says what he truly feels and his passion shines through. He is the ONLY candidate who has done anything near the span of control and complexity he handles with aplomb...

He also insulates himself by doing his own lampooning.

"What happens when the tables get turned on him?"
What...like every media outlet, person in the media and every politician/pundit in America has not been doing their best...with every asset at their disposal...to paint Trump with a negative image?
Don't tell me you cannot see that. Whether warranted or not, that's what's happening.
So Trump turned it on them.
Trump has said to all of them: "Who do YOU want to be tomorrow?"

He doesn’t talk or act like a politician and the media and the other candidates don’t know how to attack him.

I believe exactly what Adams is saying. Sending the water to Rubio was perfect. Rubio, the water BOY! Trump was saying what was. They are sweating and Rubio is just a boy.
