This is excellent. Ted Cruz masterfully debates Sierra Club President, Aaron Mair, on Climate Change, asking him about the objective data that shows no significant warming trend in the last 18 years. But Mair only wanted to focus on a study that he agrees with, that says 97 percent of scientists say the earth is cooking or something and claims the science is settled and no longer up for debate. It was pathetic.
Cruz took him apart, exposing the fact that he doesn’t know what the heck he’s talking about, and then schooled a Democrat who objected.

No it's not correct. The one study that spewed this number out has been decisively debunked and I believe even retracted. An unethical cooking of the data. No more than that. No one but deliberate liars cite it anymore.

Datum is an important concept that cannot be conveyed by the plural of one of its meanings.

The pauses in the answers to Cruz’s questions were real time and quite real, with Cruz waiting with a bemused look on his face. In the background, if one cranks up the volume you can hear... off mic the whisperings of this “social activist” and his white handlers behind him giving him talking point incomplete answers and non-answers.As well, take a look at the “gangsta” looks being expressed by a jet black dude off his left shoulder. This is one stupid guy,
a “line in” to hook up with the brotha’s in the Admin. Appalling. And they know it. The Sierra Club is... whiter than white liberal neo-socialist watermelons “green on the outside and red inside”.
BTW: (you should read the wikipedia page on this, “first ever, af-american prez of the Sierra Club—he is sociologist and history degrees only... who “studied” at “Naval Education and Training Center” in Rhode Island, but doesn’t say where or in what, and that he “attended American Univ. in Cairo”— total BS)

I work for a company that is wall to wall engineers of almost every kind. Thousands of engineers located on all three coasts and many states in between. Structural engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, software engineers, hardware engineers and much more. Not one engineer uses the word "datum".
And it's been that way for many, many years.
It is amazing that after all the exposure about the phony 97% allegation, that is the best this lame ass can come up with. Maybe he thinks anyone who disagrees with him can be called racist in subsequent interviews.
Actually it’s the first time I’ve ever brought it up. I heard he voted to expand H1-B. I didn’t catch his explanation for it.
