Their power is crumbling, and their neat little line of successors is no more!

And yet they are too stupid or too stubborn to realize why! God save the Republic.

All the GOPe has to do is declare a truce and accept conservatives as equals.

Don't forget the grand demotions Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi got.

If the GOPe-RINO's send up another McCarthy, then we will just have to get our fly swatter out again.

A strong conservative couldn't get more than 40 votes.

Usually, this caucus vote would continue multiple times with various slates of contenders, as repeated voting draws out the consensus thinking of the body. If neither remaining candidate can get a majority, then new candidates will step up as factions combine and split with each iteration, until a consensus candidate emerges.

At least, that's how it used to be done before careerists took over and made every vote a scripted, pre-determined outcome that shred only to protect their own interests. Now, lame-duck Boehner is preventing House Republicans from caucusing to discover their mutually agreeable Speaker. Instead, Boehner is slinking back into the back room for more scripting.

Damn rotten Republican party. The whole bunch are not worth a crap. Never seen such a bunch of real losers and sure speaks much on their intelligence. Democrats make the Republican party look like a bunch of rotten communists and sick kids. Maybe we need a third party after all.

This is why we are a Republic....WE the people can get stuff done....if we stand together and fight like heck and hold our Representatives and Senators feet to the fire, we can do a lot....

Right now we are fighting for America...to bring her greatness back on her feet, we are doing this by backing and supporting Trump....we are doing this by standing up for gun control and protecting our Second Amendment Rights, and we are doing this by holding the House to a higher commitment....

Don't back down, don't give up, our America need our help....

Yes and look for Boehner to dust off another RINO to put forward in McCarthy’s place. My guess the conservatives will push Watson and then compromise on Chaffetz or someone like him.

Either that or they're going to go with a long term member who isn't totally unacceptable to either side and who will warm the chair until after the 2016 elections. Then it'll depend on whether the conservatives or the establishment does better at the polls.

Any thoughts on someone who could realistically win and is better than Boehner?

Leaving aside for a moment that anyone is better then Boehner, no not really. The establishment won't elect a conservative, and there aren't too many establishment candidates that the conservatives would accept.

Yep, I like how they tell folks not to go for the position if they have a skeleton in their past! LOL!

Dr. Tom Price (R-GA; 6th Congressional Dist.)

This man is a conservative representative. He isn’t flashy nor, I believe, controversial. Has been suggested as Speaker by Hensarling of Texas.

Hensarling said no, he won’t take the position. Instead, he recommended Dr.Price of Georgia

“I have no doubt that the lack of effectiveness of Renee Ellmers cease and desist letter to the website touting her romance with Kev had a lot to do with him dropping out. Whatever it takes.”

What a chutzpah.... these retches. What ego to think he could step in, as minimally liked and as personally flawed as he it... (to quote once again the little girl from Firestarter’s father...) Burn it down, baby. Burn it all down.

At this point I’d even accept a candidate that was weakly conservative. Anything even slightly more conservative is better than the RINO herd that has been running things.

Well, the most recently GOP convention blessed nominee for President of the Senate so far continues to decline the Speakership of the House. They could offer the title to the previous GOP convention blessed nominee for President of the Senate. Pretty much all of them are on the record supporting her at the time and she does have experience working with out of control legislators, unlike the last GOP convention blessed Presidential nominee. She values having a servant’s heart so would likely be willing to serve out the term. She’s proven she can multi-task her only current responsibilities, being ‘Mom,’ so is available right away. No ‘Perky’ exploded heads would be missed.

Palin is not a House member, and even though nothing says the Speaker has to be a member of the House of Representatives there has never been a speaker who was not. And never will be.

Never happen, they would rather go down as a Party than relinquish their $$$ train and power.

I agree with many other posts, they are not beaten but are preparing for the next liberal turd of the month flavor to be trotted out and presented as the only option to a world waiting with bated breath.

Liberals do not relinquish power, Staling didn’t, Hitler didn’t, Mao didn’t, they have to be crushed and have power taken from them. This is but a preview to the senate, the RNC in Washington and every state capital in this country.

’ “We’ve been clear — we want rules, policy and process. Regular order was the big word from the last couple of weeks. We want that on paper ahead of time,” said Rep. David Brat of Virginia. ‘

Then a Speaker can be chosen who will carry out whatever compromise the RINOs can be forced to agree to.
What the Speaker will do matters more than who it is.

I wonder how Mitch Mcconnell feels watching his fellow RINOs drop.
