It could possibly be a recessive variant that is easily mutated. There’s some diseases that are genetic that pop up due to random mutations.

But, if they found the gay factor, it means it can be treated and suppressed.

If there was a “genetic” component for homosexuality it would have been eliminated ions ago thru natural selection.

They’ll make up a lie. About the time they find “life” on Mars, and further catastrophic “evidence” of global warming.

Science is now a culture of liars.

There is not one, it is a choice.

How could gay genes, which are by definition, non propagating, get passed to the next generation, through propagation.

Evolutionists demand that we adhere to the theory of “survival of the fittest.” The “fittest” is the organism that is the most capable of mating and passing its genetics.

How does a genetic code that defines itself by its inability to reproduce, survive? It not only survives but flourishes, invading previously downtrodden neighborhoods and turning them into cute little bungalows with the most beautiful landscaping and remodeling? Mother Nature is amazing.

Desperate times call for desperate study results.

I can’t wait to hear the explanation for how identical twins have different DNA.

or are the homonazis going to demand that all humans be genetically altered to be gay so they can all be equal, you know in the name of "equality".../s

“I’ve tested with somewhat higher than normal androgen levels, although I didn’t develop any symptoms of that until maturity, specifically during a pregnancy.”

To understand what AIS and CAIS are see the Wikipedia article (CAUTION NUDITY):

Complete androgen insensitivity syndrome

Complete androgen insensitivity syndrome (CAIS) is a condition that results in the complete inability of the cell to respond to androgens.[1][2][3] The unresponsiveness of the cell to the presence of androgenic hormones prevents the masculinization of male genitalia in the developing fetus, as well as the development of male secondary sexual characteristics at puberty, but does not significantly impair female genital or sexual development.[3][4] As such, the insensitivity to androgens is only clinically significant when it occurs in genetic males (i.e. individuals with a Y chromosome, or more specifically, an SRY gene).[1] All affected individuals are phenotypically female; they develop a normal female habitus, despite the presence of a Y chromosome.[1][5][6][7][8][9]

CAIS is one of three types of androgen insensitivity syndrome, which is divided into three categories that are differentiated by the degree of genital masculinization: complete androgen insensitivity syndrome (CAIS) is indicated when the external genitalia is that of a normal female, mild androgen insensitivity syndrome (MAIS) is indicated when the external genitalia is that of a normal male, and partial androgen insensitivity syndrome (PAIS) is indicated when the external genitalia is partially, but not fully masculinized.[1][2][5][6][7][10][11][12][13]....

Androgen insensitivity syndrome is the largest single entity that leads to 46,XY undermasculinization.[14]

This is a nightmare for gay men because we can now prove it is a choice if they fail the gay DNA test.

“This is a nightmare for gay men because we can now prove it is a choice if they fail the gay DNA test.”

Not really. These were early study results for which no peer reviewed research studies to confirm or deny the hypothesis have not yet bee performed. Also, the 30 percent which were undetected may be the result of still to be determined non-genetic agents involved in prenatal and/or post natal biochemical development. Uterine biochemical and hormonal influences are already known to affect development of the fetus in profound and not so profound ways.

“I can’t wait to hear the explanation for how identical twins have different DNA.”

Having different DNA is not necessary to explain different results in identical twins. The presence of the twin during pregnancy can affect the other twin’s hormonal and other biochemical exposure and differential expression of otherwise identical DNA.

Interesting. Epigenetics is such a fascinating field. If I were in high school now I’d definitely choose it as my line of study in college.

I am still betting it’s a chemical change in utero caused by exposure to something, possibly plastics of some kind or other chemicals found more and more these days than before.

And again I might remark that I think our brains are in crisis from neurotoxins. There are autism and Alzheimers epidemics. Epidemics of infertility and gender/sex problems. The most sensitive part of animals is the reproductive / sexual / neurological system and ours are being affected strongly by something in our environment. We need to address this crisis or it will only increase.

It would seem that that set of genes would have long ago been purged from the gene pool, since it would not be carried on through the generations (or at least rarely in the case of bi’s).

Genes are but locations. Which ones are affected depends on environment. Darwin was right but so was Lamarck. Poor dude never got any credit.

Environment? As in things placed in our food?

A lot of epigenetics takes place at the very beginning, in utero. And all exposure the mother got can play a part. Nearly every young woman has toxic BPA plastic in her (as yet unused) uterus these days. Among all kinds of other things, including what she eats and drinks, through her bloodstream, of course. Including even things that she breathes or that touch her body. The skin allows toxins into the bloodstream as well.

In my opinion we probably need to address this through science education. People blithely put on a dry cleaned shirt next to their skin. People eat brightly colored candy, sit in new cars (that smell = neurotoxins), eat pesticides in their veggies, sit for hours in a room filled with toxins (coming from the couch off gassing, the mostly plastic carpet, the cleaning sprays, the plug in neurotoxic scents, the water bottle, the lotion on the skin, the microwaved in plastic dinner...

What are we doing to ourselves? We need to address this.

yes, we already know the male hormonal balances are under siege by the USDA and alternative dietary standards featuring low fat and high carbohydrate concentrations that result in obesity and high estrogen levels, estrogen dominance in the hormonal balance, and a wide variety of hormone altering chemical influences. It is becoming increasingly evident that the incidence of dementia and Alzheimer’s is traceable at least in part to the low fat diets depriving the brain of the fats required to nourish and maintain good brain health.
