“There’s a lisping gene?”

It depends in some cases on whether or not you speak the King’s dialect of Spanish....

“I was reading about a study that scientist claim they can make gold out of lead.”

As a matter of fact it is now possible to transform Lead (Pb) into Gold (Au), but the cost of doing so is currently far greater than the economic value of the Gold. Doing so requires using a cyclotron to bombard the nucleus of a Lead atom with subatomic particles to increase the number of subatomic particles in the nucleus to that composing an atom of Gold.

Now, about transforming you into a Newt....

“Well that just...ahem...blows away the “homosexuality is genetic” argument.”

No, it does not. Non-genetic factors, especially in the uterus during gestation, also alter the expression of the genes and the hormonal developments.

A new study claims to have located nine parts of the male genetic code that indicate whether a person is heterosexual or homosexual.

Could one of them be the presence of XY chromosomes in their anus?

But the claim is that their DNA is different. That’s why one is gay and the other is not, in almost all cases.

“Are you saying there is no such thing as identical twins, or that the definition of identical twins needs to be redefined because of the difference that you cite?”

Definitely not. Sex chromosomes and somatic DNA are only the biochemical programming instructions which serve to guide development according to a blueprint, but there are innumerable biochemical actions which must occur in correct detail and correct order for everything to produce an end result which faithfully reproduces the programmed instructions in the blueprint. Any biochemical, radiation, and other influences which alter the biochemical actions initiated by the genes can and often do result in biochemical changes not included in the genetic programming and blueprint. See the Wikipedia article for a description of how this works:

“But the claim is that their DNA is different. That’s why one is gay and the other is not, in almost all cases.”

Assume for the sake of discussion you have twins who appear to have genes which are expected or known to produce homosexual behavior in humans or human males. The assume in 30 percent of the cases in one study of such twins one of the two twins develops with heterosexual behavior. The heterosexual behavior in the twin with homosexual genes may be explained by two possible types of biochemical causes. First, the genes which determine homosexual behavior may not be turned on because other genes were not present or failed to function according to plan a consequence of other genetic factors. Second, epigenetic factors during gestation and/or in the postnatal development could interfere with the expression of the homosexual genes.

Conversely, you can have twins with heterosexual genes, yet on occasion have one of those twins who has other epigenetic alterations of the gene expressions not shared by the twin.

“How does a genetic code that defines itself by its inability to reproduce, survive?”

Through bisexual behavior inconsistent with strict homosexual assumptions.

"If they develop a genetic test for unborn children, will the Left get upset when people start aborting homosexual fetuses?"

There are already tests that can show the possibility of it. And of course the gay mafia are doing all they can to eliminate such testing, just like they have successfully gotten laws passed that prohibit counseling to overcome homosexual "propensity".

“If there was a “genetic” component for homosexuality it would have been eliminated ions ago thru natural selection.”

Certainly not. It is likely an inherited genetic trait common to countless species which was utilized as a feature that could be turned on and off in some species to accomplish certain population and gender controls in the population of the species. For example, there are many species, which have the inborn genetic ability to change reproductive sex one or more times during the organism’s lifetime. many species of fish have this genetic capability. Much of this so-called “junk” DNA actually has capabilities which are turned off in a given species. When such “junk” DNA accidentally gets turned on by some kind of gestational and/or environmental conditions, you see some rather bizarre birth defects.

"If it’s genetic, twins would be either all homosexual or all heterosexual."

Thus the "environmental" fall back position. It's nurture, not nature.

In a minority of cases the environmental influences can turn the expression of genes on or off in either direction.

“Is there an established link between testosterone levels and homosexuality? That’s what you’re presupposing.”

No, not at all. The effects of sex hormones remains an area where there are some very paradoxical and counter-intuitive research results. Your focus on testosterone appears to imply you believe like many people do in the stereotype that low testosterone results in effeminate males who are in turn also homosexual males, while high testosterone hormone levels necessarily produces masculine males who are heterosexual. The stereotype is in reality quite false.

On the scale of gender behavior ranging from super-masculine to super-feminine, most male homosexuals tend to be disproportionately represented on the super-masculine end of the scale in comparison to heterosexual males mostly clustered around the midpoint of the masculine side of the scale. Paradoxically, a small minority of male homosexuals exhibit effeminate behavior and characteristics which cluster their subgroup around the midpoint of the feminine scale and tails off into the super-feminine scale. likewise with female homosexuals or Lesbians, most of the homosexual females tend to be clustered towards the super-feminine to midpoint of the feminine scale, while only a small percentage of the female homosexuals exhibit super-masculine to masculine behavior. You also have outlier percentages in which heterosexual males exhibit feminine behavior and heterosexual females who exhibit masculine behavior. Bottomline, you are more apt to find homosexual behavior among males with high testosterone levels and super-masculine behavior patterns than you can expect to find among typical heterosexual males or among effeminate homosexual males.

“Higher forms of life? For instance?”

Now you are getting into some very very complex subject matter about which researchers are still only scratching the surface. The examples which come most immediately to mind are fish, frogs, and so forth. However...exceptions are being discovered in the higher lifeforms. Recent research has also found the genes in females and in males which are required to function correctly to PREVENT the occurrence of a spontaneous and natural natural sex change in humans. Yes, you have to read that line a few times with some understandable incredulity. be that as it may:

[Quote]
Researchers at the University of Minnesota Medical School and College of Biological Sciences have discovered a gene that is required to maintain male sex throughout life.

The research team, led by David Zarkower and Vivian Bardwell of the University of Minnesota’s department of genetics, cell biology, and development, found that removing an important male development gene, called Dmrt1, causes male cells in mouse testes to become female cells. The findings were published today in the online edition of Nature.

[....]

Previous research has shown that removing a gene, called Foxl2, in ovaries caused female cells to become male cells and the ovaries to become more like testes. According to Zarkower, this latest research determines that the gonads of both sexes must actively maintain the original sex determination decision throughout the remainder of life.
[Unquote]

The sex determination systems of various lifeforms are often dramatically different. They vary dramatically even among mammalian species. Example:

Platypus sex ‘master switch’ identified
http://www.advocate.com/news/daily-news/2011/07/21/researchers-discover-sex-change-gene

Changes in the sex determination system for humans is normally a function of the chromosomal sex determinations, so the epigenetic causes tend to be a lesser control of sex determination. Accordingly, natural reversals of sex and sex determination in humans is not something you should expect to see unless those specific control genes like Dmrt1 and Fox12 have been affected.

“Just cannot be immorality/morality issue...no”

Under Christian doctrine being born with homosexual genetics would not be a sin, but engaging in homosexual acts forbidden by the Scriptures is sinful.

gay men will be found to lack the queer gene thought to be responsible for the queer behavior that is sexual deviancy.
