The art of negotiation. “I do deals!”

“America never wins. We don’t know how to win anymore.”

MSNBC capitulates. Donald gets what he wanted. Donald is a winner!

The cutoff point for this debate will be 3% in the national polls.

***************

I wasn’t aware of the cut off number as I’ve not read the debate details. That
makes sense and provides for better questioning and interaction, imo.

Thanks for the info.

Chris Stirewalt had a great line. He said that the Rep arranged the debates to benefit the ‘Fabrege’ delicate egg establishment candidate. BUT it didn’t work out like they planned.

“THAT is a president !!!”

‘NO, he is not. He is as arrogant if not more so that Mr. Obama.’

Trump has a long way to go before he gets into sociopathic Malignant Narcissistic Messianic-complex territory.

‘Speaking directly to the camera before an after is understandable, but shortening the length reduces things to sound bites. He is not a good speaker when confronted with opposition.’

For decades the MSM has shoved GOP candidates around and treated them like doormats. Finally one (two, actually) stand up to them, and you have a hissy fit. Which candidate is sufficiently wimpy to merit your support?

‘Why does Trump (or Dr. Carson) even participate in debates if they cannot stand the heat?’

Since Trump announced, and especially since he began goring every PC sacred cow he can find, he’s had the entire MSM trying to take him down, assisted by the entire GOPe and many big name Dems.

And you say he can’t take the heat. SMH.

“Popularity today can collapse tomorrow.’

You don’t grasp the nature of Trump’s support. These fantasies about his collapse are as uninformed as they are pathetic.

But you keep waiting for the big collapse, ok? It’s certain (haha) to happen any day now. Any day...

“Are you so steeped in apologetic verbosity you can’t see that we, as a nation, need a leader that can git ‘er done ?”

The only one suffering from “verbosity” is yourself. I rationally have looked at Trump and saw he is a con man, self promoting loudmouth that doesn’t really care anything about the American people - and does not have a conservative record. He won’t get one single thing accomplished as a president. He is not a leader, he is a dictator. That will not wash in a constitutional republic. It is irrational and foolish to support this man. We need a leader not a snakeoil salesman that won’t be able to deliver any of the things he promises.

I have voted Republican my entire life (over 6 decades), and I am a social conservative first and foremost. This guy Trump creeps me out. Dr. Carson is a “good” man, but he is a 7th Day pacifist....which makes him unfit to be CinC. Trump needs to shut up and disappear. And Carson needs to go away as well. I am not a “fan” of Senator Cruz, but he seems to be the best rational choice. Cruz is an adult....Trump is still a child.

An early-morning tweet from Donald Trump said that CNBC agreed to the demands of both Trump and Ben Carson to keep the debate to two hours including commercials, CNN reported.

Without Trump & Carson, the network would have had to refund the money that they received for the commercials because the rating would have tanked... and they knew it.

“You don’t grasp the nature of Trump’s support.”

Yes, I do. It scares me that people are so naïve. Mr. Obama is a pathetic POTUS, but Trump will be as well. Different mistakes will be made by Trump, but just as serious.

Also, ANYONEs support can collapse. It may not happen before the damage of his election, but it will afterward. He cannot deliver on his rhetoric. More talk with no substance.

It is because he is the reason why they can charge so much for the debate commercials.

Looking at the 3% criteria which includes a caveat that means anyone at 2.5% and above.
In other words they are rounding up. Thus that currently adds two more, Huckabee (2.8)
and Paul (2.7) with Kasich a potential at (2.3). Looks like we may see a stage full again.

“Donald is a winner!”

No, he is a self-serving whiner. I’m no fan of NBC, but the debate needs to be longer to let all get a say. I have not watched ANY of the debates and don’t plan on it. They don’t really change any minds anymore than watching a football game changes the fans watching.

He’s proven he can negotiate with the enemy (MSM) and win.

Imagine what he can do with Russia and China. Not to mention the RINOs and other liberals in Congress.

“but shortening the length reduces things to sound bites”

I don’t remember there ever being a 3 hour debate. 2 hours is more than enough.

You don’t see the strategy in shortening the time? Pity you.

Trump: CNBC agrees to new format

Interesting wording. Trump is still the focus. The headline could have said: Candidates, CNBC agree to new format.

CBNB knew that, if Trump backs out, they would have to refund massive amounts of ad revenues.

CNN just said: "What Trump wants, Trump gets" on this topic.

Not bad negotiating for a guy who is just about finished.:-)

I think the word you’re looking for is “peaked”.

A preview of his relationship with the RINOs in congress.

Thank God America is awakening.

Every politician is a con man !

When you applied for a job, you conned yourself into it

The word "Conservatism" is not a halo and carte blanche pass to perform in the manner every psychology expects

agreed on the 7th Day ... which indicates you think exactly like me, just draw different conclusions

Trump is the better in the field, at this point, to correct wrongs quickly ... that took years to manifest.

Cruz doesn’t measure up to your standard of perfection. Who does, pray tell.
