GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump said on Monday that he is merely stating the facts when discussing former President George W. Bush’s handling of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
“The fact is [that] we had the worst attack in the history of our country during his reign,” he said of Bush’s administration, according to CNN.
“Jeb [Bush] said we were safe during his reign [and] that wasn’t true,” Trump said of his presidential rival. “I’m not blaming anybody and I’m not blaming George Bush, although if you look at his three primary agencies, they hated each other and they weren’t talking,” he added.
Trump said he would have implemented a “massive whistleblower system” before the 9/11 attacks so that law enforcement officials could have prevented them.
“A good leader would’ve made sure that they would get along and talk and lots of other things happen.”

On Sunday, Trump said stricter immigration policies would have prevented the 9/11 hijackers from ever entering the county.

Well, they did try to blow up the WTC in the 90s on Clintons watch. Did he take any kind of action, proactive or reactive afterwards?
Clinton is the most responsible for all of it. Whoever planned that thing didn’t do it in seven months. That took some diligence and patience.
As for the agencies not talking to anyone, that’s been going on since they were all formed. It’s institutionalized. They protect each others turf because they don’t want to be rendered insignificant for fear of getting rolled up by another agency. However, the processes put in place by the leadership for all federal law enforcement agencies is ridiculous. The agents on the ground can barely walk out of their offices, without permission. One of the reasons they form so many task forces with the local pd’s.
Rep Lynch from Mass wants the redacted portions of the 9/11 report put out there for the people to see, but he’s meeting some serious resistance. I’d also love to see the classified info on TWA 800.
Trump is not only showing us about the Bushes and what happened on 9/11, but also about the Cintons not doing anything about the FIRST World Trade Center bombing, but also about the bombing of Cole, and remember you have a Clinton for the Oval Office again...
He’s showing you what to look at and see what is and was and going to happen....
Well if Trump were to mention that the 9/11 terrorists were Saudis, that they were motivated and financed by the Saudi sanctioned Wahhabi ,and that Saudi intelligence was aware of the 9/11 plot but never notified the US, he would not be wrong. He would also not be wrong if he noted the extensive personal and financial ties between the Saudis and the Bush family. Nor would he be wrong if he mentioned that GW Bush was fully aware of Saudi culpability, did nothing to hold them morally or financially responsible but borrowed huge sums from the Chinese to invade Iraq, a perceived enemy of the Saudis. Trump would not be wrong if he mentioned any of these things.
Well when Bush was President we had a US visa office in Saudi Arabia handing out expedited visas to every camel jockey who applied. The hijackers were all Saudis so go figure. Trump is right.

Did they receive visas between February and September 2001? I fail to see what cataclysmic changes could be made in massive government agencies in that time frame that would have affected 9/11. Especially when you consider the delays from the prolonged election and transition. Many top directors were just getting selected and approved in mid summer.

Abraham would lose his re-election and become Bush's Sec of Energy and Bush would hire Stuart Anderson to be deputy at INS.
Six months after 9-11, student visas for 2 of the 9-11 participants would be approved by INS, which created a big uproar.
