Stephen Harper did not deal with the debt problem in his country just as sure as John Boehner and Paul Ryan haven’t in this country.
More money has been borrowed in both countries in the years all of the above have held positions of power.

Canadians didnt like Fiscal Sanity? Nobody likes Fiscal sanity. Everyone would love to throw a big spending party with other people's money, but people who aren't little children know this won't work for long and therefore they exercise responsibility.

Apparently not. Even the NDP promised to run a balanced budget. The voters went with Trudeau who pledged to run a deficit.
