Few House hearings are must-see TV. But on Thursday, Hillary Clinton will testify ahead of the House Select Committee on Benghazi in one of the most-anticipated hearings of the year—but maybe not for the reasons originally predicted.
The hearing was never supposed to be easy for Clinton, whose campaign has been hampered by inquiries into her use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of state. But the threat the committee once posed to her political fortunes has dissipated, as it has instead become a political challenge for House Republicans, as they try to prove that the focus of the committee is on the 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya and not a political ploy.

Get prepared to hear the word circus over and over again to describe the Republicans and the word sympathetic to describe Hillary.
It was guaranteed to be a circus because of the Democrats on the committee. Apart from protecting Hillary they have to protect Obama.
It will probably help her. The media will spin this a s witch hunt (no pun intended) with these awful men picking on this poor lady with their war on women. And, like always, it will work.
The GOPe has NEVER, NEVER, EVER gotten the best of the Clintons! They are too stupid to, and they never fail to overreach and come across as Clinton-hating smear artists.
Hillary will earn a lot of sympathy tomorrow.

She will have eight full hours to trip herself up and disagree with what she has already said or what she’ll say to the FBI.
Hillary has used every trick she can and called in every favor she can to keep from being in front of this committee.

Grab her by the ear and march her out to the steps and kick her so hard in her fanny that her legs fly out in front of her while she flies through the air to land in the street on her donkey. Then say,
“You’re just a dirty little snot who got Americans murdered in Benghazi.”
Democrats will derail republicans for being political and never ask a serious question: "Now, Madam Secretary, you knew that Benghazi is a city in Libya, right?".. "Yes, I Do"..."Thank You for your honesty"
Cummings will yell, scream and cry foul

Gowdy will do an post-hearing interview praising bitch clinton for her candidness.

If the media has their way Hillary will come out smelling like a rose. She will be painted as poised and heroic going up against horrific, partisan, republican devils. That’s the kind of lying, communist media we have these days.
Wittingly or unwittingly the GOP-e is all but guaranteed to help Hillary. Like you suggest, someone - anyone - tell me the last time a legitimate Republican committee proved effective in such politically charged circumstances.
No, I predict a smattering of “tough” questions interspersed with bombast from Democrats and then the GOP-e types then all falling over each other to be deferential and apologetic to Hillary who will then float out of there now guaranteed to become the next president.
We share near identical evaluation of events as they will likely unfold(see post #11). Just a different day.

Exactly what I was going to post, a LOT of e-mails from other participants is coming out and trust me Donald will use it!
One of the criticisms of the committee is the way questioning takes place - each member gets to question & the train of thought/line of questioning is repeatedly broken as they all head off on their own tangents.
This will never happen, but I’d like to see each Repub member allot their 5 minutes back to either Gowdy or Jim Jordan (the 2 best interrogators - one should be designated to question Clinton during this hearing). Other than interruptions from Dem questioners, they could then keep the line of questioning going, for the most part.
I’m sure Hilly/Dems would be totally pissed off if this happened, but you might keep enough pressure on her to cause a crack in the veneer.
Of course it will help Hillary after that IDIOT Kevin McCarthy put his foot in his mouth. We all know what he meant but he’s so stupid he and his handlers can’t even make a point without screwing it up.
