Trump Change: More GOP Voters Than Ever Say He’s The Man (74% LV Repubs Say Trump Wins GOP)
Rasmussen Reports ^ | October 23, 2015 | Rasmussen Reports

Bang! More Republicans than ever think Donald Trump will be their party’s presidential nominee next year.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 74% of Likely Republican Voters believe Trump is likely to end up as the GOP nominee, with 34% who say it is Very Likely. The overall finding is a 16-point jump from a week ago and up eight points from Trump’s previous high among Republicans of 66% in early September. This is also the highest number to date who see a Trump nomination as Very Likely.

Just 23% of GOP voters say “The Donald” is unlikely to capture the Republican nomination, but that includes only six percent (6%) who consider it Not At All Likely. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

When Trump first announced his candidacy in mid-June, just 27% of Republicans felt his nomination was likely.

Among all likely voters, 57% say Trump is likely to be the Republican presidential nominee, with 22% who view it as Very Likely. Both these findings are also record highs since Rasmussen Reports began the weekly Trump Change survey in mid-August. Thirty-nine percent (39%) still say Trump is not likely to win the nomination, with 16% who say it is Not At All Likely.

Not every potential dictator grew up like obama.

There's the potential for great things, but this is a little early to be measuring for curtains.

Conventional wisdom would indicate that, but we're not living in conventional times, nor is this a conventional GOP primary.

The base is about ready to explode with anger over how they've been betrayed by the party elites, and they're putting their trust in a well known outsider who's known for getting things done, and for being a winner at everything he puts his mind to.

Just look at the figures presented in the article, and that tells you that this nation is in the midst of a rebellion that's nearly hot enough to ignite into something no force on earth could contain.

The People are going to have their way, one way or another. For the moment, they're content to vent their anger through our civil electoral process, just as long as the political elites don't try something shady, and try to thwart the will of the voters. Should they be so stupid as to try, the people will likely resort to extra-constitutional means to exert their will, anyway.

We're done being betrayed and trifled with. We're on a mission to save our country, and most of us have lined up behind the one man we think will see it done. Yeah, he can measure for new drapes. He's gonna move into that office one way or another.

Trump is the only candidate dare utter the words DEPORT ALL ILLEGALS, for openers.

Trump won my support the moment he came out with his stance on illegal immigration. No other issue is more important to the future of the country.

If we don't elect a president in 2016, who is bound and determined to put an end to the foreign invasion of our country, no other conservative/patriotic issue matters. It will all be one big moot point, as we will have lost the battle of demographics, and so, the nation.

Trump 2016!

I fear that Trump could be a Trojan Horse. He’s friends with the Clintoons

Just because he said a couple of nice things about them, then summoned them to his wedding doesn't make him their 'friend'. He even donated some money to their foundation, but it was less than a pittance for his deep pockets.

Trump's been a major player in the business world for a very long time. He's made 'friends' with movers and shakers on all sides during his career.

Don't read so much into it. It's what billionaire tycoons do. Read his books if you want to know where he really stands on the issues.

It is actually worse than that. ALL OTHERS are in control of the elite donors who want the cheap labor express. Even senator Ted Cruz wants more cheap foreign workers imported.

I do believe they can support groups that produce polls that show Trump trailing against everything we’ve seen to the contrary.

May already be seeing this with the Carson leads Trump in Iowa

'Tis true. Trump is the only candidate who's not beholden to mega donors, the CofC, or special interests. He can't be bought, and he's fearlessly PRO-American.

When he speaks his mind (as he always does), his words reflect the thoughts of most Americans. The man is a proven leader who knows how to get things done, and to win!

I honestly feel that he's our last best hope to square this country away without resorting to the unthinkable. I know a whole lot of other Americans agree with me on that. We either get this right with one last try through 'the system', or all bets are off.

Agreed 100%. They always say next election is critical. We are beyond critical in 2016. Unless Trump or someone like him who is not beholden to special interests, wins in 2016, I see permanent destruction of middle class standard of living. There are die hard democrat voters, and there are purity seeking conservatives, who have blinders on with regards to the invasion of legal & illegal foreigners. After amnesty, kiss permanent good bye to small government and American wages. And with that social conservatism will also cease to exist.

A good portion of that 74% comprises the GOP-e, which is reassuring for Real Americans. Their fear of Trump says a lot about the chances of their mentally challenged candidates.

It’s too bad Cruz or Carson won’t be capable of winning the general election.

If we keep telling ourselves that, it will be true.

I think once the field narrows, things will change. We just need to get rid of the clutter of Pataki, and Graham, and Christie, and (sadly) Jindal, and Huckabee, and a few others.

When it gets doen to seven or eight on the stage, it will be harder for the MSN to ignore and slander Ted.

Have faith.
