This broad is NOT pro-gun or pro-Second Amendment.

She is a liberal, clueless emotional female. After reading her idiotic comments, does anyone really believe she’s a gun owner?

Anyone who uses the term “gun violence” is a liberal. It’s a moonbat catch phrase just like “income inequality,” “global warming,” “food insecurity,” etc. Same with “assault weapons.”

That being said, I SHOULD be able to own military assault weapons, but they can no longer be manufactured for civilian ownership. And to own one of the relics, one must jump through piles of red tape, accept the ATF probe permanently inserted into one's rectum, and pay an annual 500 dollar tax per weapon. The Constitution is not open to interpretation, the context is IN The Federalist Papers. And it was clear, most abundantly clear, why owning weapons of the same type as our own military is a natural, God given right of the American Citizen.

THAT'S OUR KINDA STUFF!

Universal background checks are just another step toward confiscation. How else are they going to confiscate the guns if they don’t have accurate lists of guns and owners?

no, not FFL, basically it is more like a tax stamp.

Yep, the shotgunners would gladly throw black rifle owners to the wolves in order to buy some time at the skeet range.

I don’t understand why anyone needs to own military-style assault weapons . . .

I don't understand why Rosa Parks had to sit at the front of the bus.

Actually, those forms end up in the ATF database rather quickly.

They call you in to the background check, and they list the serial numbers while doing so.

If you really want a full auto, you'll have to locate something manufactured before 1986. It will be very expensive because the numbers available are scarce compared to the number of people who want them. If you find one, create a "gun trust". It will cost you $100. Go to your class III FFL and fill out the Form 4 and write a $200 check to the ATF along with a copy of your trust and evidence that the firearm will be in the trust. Wait. It may be a very long wait as there are only 6 people processing forms for the entire USA. Of late, the ATF has been sending a follow up message saying that SBR/SBS applications will take about 6 months. Silencer forms will likely exceed 6 months. Machine gun applications are discouraged because they are denying them as a matter of policy (not a matter of law). If they do approve, the tax stamp will be returned to your FFL. You finish filling out the back of the form (similar to Form 4473) and take your purchase home.

I recommend the gun trust route since that allows you to place your new NFA device into a safe and add "trustees" that are permitted physical access to the item. Anyone who is not on the trust and has access to the item risks committing a felony by virtue of the "constructive access" interpretations of the law by ATF. If your Form 4 is in your name only, then you have to submit passport photos, fingerprints and a signature from your chief law enforcement officer (often the local sheriff). Only you will be permitted access to the NFA item that is approved to you personally.

Mind you, the excuse is that they only want to keep guns away from nutters and criminals - a noble goal which all of us support. If that is their real goal, please tell me why, if I buy more than one firearm at a time, I have to only pass one background check, but have to fill out a 4473 for each gun? Can you spell REGISTRATION?

Not true. If you buy 5 firearms at one time, you fill out the Form 4473 and each firearm is listed on the back of the Form 4473. If you buy only one, then the FFL will draw a diagonal line across the remaining empty lines in the table. If I were to purchase 3 stripped AR lowers, I would fill out the Forn 4473 and each serialized lower would go on a separate line. My local FFL/transfer agent charges me $18 to transfer N number of items on one 4473 from a another FFL. I have to pay $18 for EACH different FFL, but only once for multiple items from the same FFL on one 4473.

There can be no moderation on the 2nd Amendment. It is too important to compromise on any further. The author of the article is a foolish woman who wants to try to find middle ground on a matter where there is none.

each serialized lower would go on a separate line.

OK, so instead of saying "a form for each gun", I should be saying "one form for multiple purchases, as long as the serial numbers for each firearm is entered".

It would be a single purchase for multiple items with different serial numbers on a single Form 4473. The AR15 lower would be a good example. About $50 each. Buying 2 or 3 at a time saves shipping and transfer fee expense. A 4473 has to indicate long gun or handgun. The FFL would likely have to use separate forms if you were purchasing a long gun and a handgun at the same time. If you're purchasing two or more like items, they can often go on the same 4473.

“We should keep the harsh penalties for bringing guns into those places”

Harsh penalties wouldn't have stopped the mass shootings at the schools. The perps ended up dead.

OK, that's probably where I got the idea from, as that was what I went through.
