Trump Flirts With Amnesty, Says He’s Hiding His Sensitive Side
The Daily Caller ^ | 10/23/2015 | Steve Guest

Donald Trump says that if elected “we will do something that will be done with heart” in order to deal with the illegal immigrants and their families already in America.

Trump, in an interview set to air Monday on PodcastOne with Larry King, was asked about deporting families of illegal immigrants, when Trump said, “Well, I just — I don’t want to get into your specific question, but we will we will do something that will be done with heart.”

Larry King asked Trump about a hypothetical family of illegal immigrants, who had children, when Trump explained, “I don’t want to comment on that one right now, Larry, because that’s the sort of a question where I just don’t want to answer it right now.”

“We do have to have laws for the border,” Trump explained, “The crime is incredible, the drug trafficking is unbelievable, and I have to tell you, I’ve been told by many of your liberal friends at the top of the line, in Los Angeles as an example, that they’re voting for me because they can’t take it anymore.”

“You see what’s happened with LA; you see what’s happened with so many different places,” suggested Trump. “And, you know, I have great relationships with Mexico and with the Mexican people. I have great relationships with Hispanics… but we have to be a nation of laws.”

Co-host Shawn King later asked Trump about his “compassionate side” and “Why aren’t you showing more of that?”

Trump insisted, “Maybe I wouldn’t be doing as well in the polls.”

Larry retorted, “So you don’t want to be known as a nice guy.”

Trump suggested, “It’s important. I think I am a nice guy. I love people and, you know, love you guys. You’re fantastic and always have been. But I think it’s really about competence now.”

TRUMP seems to be the only one who is serious about building a wall. I hope there will an effort to deport dangerous immigrants to their countries of origin.

It’s tough to set rules and take action based upon inconsistent and non-existent immigration law.

I have all the empathy in the world for someone that’s been here 19 of their 20 years of life and has never known Mexico, El Salvador, Romania or Poland. Yes, there are illegal children here from countries not south of the border.

I’m no fan of amnesty but any throw them all out law and action is going to result in a million sob stories.

After the great influx of immigration through Ellis Island we shut off the spigot for many, many years to assimilate those that had come here by the millions. Even then, I’m sure many miraculously “found” legal status after years. After all, it was a paper based immigration system.

The best thing to do is secure first, cut off the quotas and let this situation settle out for two generations.

As far as deportation? You’re single? You have no family here? You’re sending all your earnings out of the country? Buh bye. Work your way back from the felons to the leeches and then address hardship cases as need be.

It’s the Larry King effect. Larry King gets people to say stupid things.

I think because of the taiwan lady who was deported and her infant was kept here (born on the plane) he may have found out that some infants are given rights they really don’t have.

It’s the Daily Caller spinning of an article title effect. Trump has been going on about the “we will do something with heart” stuff for a while now. He’s said repeatedly that parents and children will not be split apart, that the process of deportation will be done in a humane way.

He has talked about this before. Since you are a Cruz supporter Trump didn’t lose your vote anyway. No game changer.

He has always stated that once people are removed they may reapply for entry back into the country. I am not sure if that would be called amnesty, touch back amnesty or if it simply means that we will have one official in each foreign embassy handling the tens of millions of applications for re-entry.

I am not sure if it makes much difference. If he stated only hos e who left on their own accord would be eligible for re entry in the future, I think a flood of illegals would swarm the Mexican border trying to get reentry visas.

I wouldn’t make many available, but that is just me. I don’t mind being thought of as mean.

Not a game changer for me. If people see him as too cold heading into the primaries, he will lose votes.

Yeah. If this is a “Wait until after the election, when I have more flexibility” moment, Cruz could take his place.
A lot of us are fed up with treachery by pols we trusted and have been suspicious of him from day one.

How about showing more compassion to the working Americans and the future generations that are burdened with debt? Bullcrap!

If we don't deport all illegals then the dems win and Conservatives, Constitutionalists and Christians better start looking for another place to live.

That's it. Period. End of story.

I've heard Chile is nice this time of year.

Well, I just — I don’t want to get into your specific question, but we will we will do something that will be done with heart.

Pump your brakes...

I would in the depths of my heart deport them as in the end it is the best for everybody...

That is what he is saying, not waffling like other pols...

Cool...
