Jeb Bush Expresses Despair About Toxic Tone of Campaign

A day after his campaign slashed staff and salaries to retrench ahead of the Iowa caucuses, Jeb Bush decried the toxic tone of the presidential race and suggesting that demonizing people isnt what he signed up for in this campaign.
Mr. Bush made the remarks at a town hall in South Carolina, where, according to a report by CNN, he seemed fired up about taking on the person who has overshadowed him during the campaign, Donald J. Trump, who is leading most Republican polls so far.
If this election is about how were going to fight to get nothing done, Mr. Bush said, then I dont want any part of it. I dont want to be elected president to sit around and see gridlock just become so dominant that people literally are in decline in their lives. That is not my motivation.
He added, Ive got a lot of really cool things I could do other than sit around, being miserable, listening to people demonize me and me feeling compelled to demonize them. That is a joke. Elect Trump if you want that.

As opposed to not fighting and getting nothing done. Then calling the base that just got you elected crazies and things like that
F you and good riddance. Take your poser tush down the road. I want a fighter who will at least attempt to correct the problems and stop complaining about how the people that elected them are the problem.

I thought this weekend Boosh conclave was to plan a winter Ardennes Offensive. Apparently not. The revenant ghost of Prescott Bush must be angry.

My goodness, look what TRUMP opened up unintentionally but yet he did, Blair apologizing and names BUSH as well. Just WOW this is big, and where will this end up?
So, does this mean JEB is out of the race? He is sounding so pathetic now, momma's little crybaby. Gosh how horrible to watch a man crumble like this.

It is glorious to watch him crumble. If he cant handle a blowhard, circus barker, sulferous belcher, clown, known as mr trump... then he certainly cannot handle the presidency.

Trump has this nailed. Why should people care about tone when they are getting screwed?I'll put up with Trump's 'tone' if it means the budget's gonna be balanced, illegals are stopped at the border, and our vets start getting better can than terrorists at GITMO.

Jeb wanted a coronation.
I think he expected a little token opposition, but for the voters to coalesce around one candidate (him) similar to the way the GOP did with his brother after the Clinton years.
It's a different world with different stakes.

What a whiner! Jeb, with his arrogant sense of entitlement, was expecting to overwhelm his opponents with his pedigree and vast fund-raising, but instead he got well-aimed incoming fire from Trump and his campaign is now sputtering for lack of appeal to the GOP rank and file and waning support from the donor class and even from his family. With Jeb's expectations of a GOP nomination by coronation dashed, he assails the politics of the country at large and tests out possible exit lines.
Jeb could have been a strong conservative contender except that he did little for the conservative cause in recent years and went all in for amnesty, even going so far as to disparage the "conservative chirpers" who opposed it. Now we get phony distress at the negative tone of American politics as if he made no contribution to it. Jeb needs to quit the campaign soon before he shreds what goodwill he has left in the GOP.
