GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump has called his rival, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, weak on immigration, but Rubio isn't much impressed with Trump's plan to deport all illegal immgrants, then allow those back in who don't have criminal backgrounds.
"If you think about where he was six months ago, it's nothing like what he's saying now," Rubio said on CNN's "State of the Union." "Even what he's saying now borders on the absurd. He's going to deport all these people and allow back in the ones that are good. His plan makes no sense." Asked whether he agrees with former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who said he doesn't trust Trump's finger on the nuclear button, Rubio said, "I wouldn't term it that way."
Still, he said, he doesn't think Trump has proved "an understanding of these issues or the preparation to be commander in chief of the most powerful military force in the world."
Responding to criticism he is missing too many votes while running for the GOP presidential nomination, Rubio said his goal is to actually make the votes taken in the Senate count.
"A lot of these votes don't mean anything. They're not going to pass, and if they did the president would veto it," Rubio said.

In any event, until the borders are secure, what to do with those already here is an academic argument and a waste of time. Some of the criminals who committed murder recently had in fact been caught and deported multiple times...they just got right back in.
Thank God America is awakening.
“Go back, join The Queue. Every legal immigrants are standing in queue. Why law breakers get red carpet?”
EXACTLY! That is what I found so absurd about the demonstrators at Trump’s campaign stop with their signs, EQAUALITY. They don’t want equality, they want SPECIAL treatment. Send them home and let them get to the back of the line.
Rubio is Bush Lite..
So don't take the salary you degenerate little twerp.
That's what we're trying to prevent. Socialists trying "to off the country".
He used to scheme with Charlie Crist all the time in Tallahassee.
That’s when I knew he was a POS, and he’s only getting worse.
My suspicion is that certain positions Rubio takes have been purchased by lobbying interests, and are not up for discussion, no matter how the voters feel. He is not “his own man” in the sense of being willing to take independent stances on some things.
As long as Rubio is willing to vouch for the illegals and take personal responsibility for their actions then I am OK with this. But, if one of then commits murder then I say Rubio gets the full punishment.
Thinking of voting for Rubio is absurd.
Wow. A candidate for the Presidency that has already given up on voting. OK .. then what is the point in voting for a Marco Rubio if the democrats and conservatives are just going to filibuster his initiatives? He sounds like Hillary -- at this point what difference does it make?
Well we haven’t had a plan from Trump on how he is going to get rid of 11 million people. When will he give some specifics? It is harder then just saying were going to kick out 11 million people.
I saw the interview...Rubio was talking about logistics. And he is correct
The president veto anything that he doesn’t cotton to regardless is is helpful to the nation including 98% of the U.S.Constitution....he stopped ICE from doing their job...he has an ongoing jihad against Arizona for doing the job the Federal Gov. is not doing....let Obama veto all he wants...it will simply convince, I am not holding my breath, convince those that thought him an American with American hopes and values...he Hates this country with a passion...his vetoes will show that in spades.
Deport Rubio
Not quite. Bush is eligible to hold the office.
Here is a change to the welfare law that would help.
Illegal aliens have an anchor baby. They go to the welfare office and apply for welfare for their US citizen child. As guardians, they get the check.
Change the law so that guardians have to be here legally or no welfare.
Marco Rubio Falls Apart When Asked Why He Has Missed The Most Votes In The Senate

When pressed during a CNN interview about why he thinks federal workers should be fired for not doing their jobs while he has missed the most votes in the Senate, Sen. Marco Rubio put his foot in his mouth and said that voting in the Senate is not important for a Senator.
In an interview that aired on CNNs State of the Union, Jamie Gangel pointed out to Rubio that other Senators running for president (Rand Paul and Bernie Sanders) have only missed ten votes while the Senator from Florida has missed 59.
Rubio answered, Well, I can tell you that in the history of presidential politics when theyve been running for politics in the Senate, theyve missed votes.
Sen. Rubio tried to explain away his absences by arguing that the Senate votes dont mean anything, A lot of these votes dont mean anything. Theyre not going to pass, and even if they did, the President would veto them.
Gangel reminded Rubio of his comments on the Senate floor that federal workers who arent performing should be fired, Someone might say youre not showing up. Youre not doing your job by voting.
Caught in his hypocrisy, Rubio tried to dig his way out, Not true. Because voting is not the most important part of the job. The most important thing that a Senator does is constituent services.
Gangel stopped him, Wait a minute. Votes arent important. Intelligence Committee hearing arent important.
Rubio was doomed by this point, We do all the intelligence briefings. I was just there this Tuesday. I got fully briefed and caught up on everything thats happening in the world. Im fully aware. We have a staffer thats assigned to intelligence who gets constant briefings. I think votes,of course, are important, but unfortunately, too many of them today are not meaningful.
The main purpose of a Senator is to represent the people of his/her state in the Senate. The people arent represented if their Senator doesnt show up. Taxpayers are not paying Rubio a six figure salary to have a staffer handle intelligence briefings.
Once Rubio realized what he had said, he tried to backtrack, but it was too late. Marco Rubio seems to be believe that he doesnt have to show up and do his job as a Senator because Republicans dont have a 60 vote majority in the Senate.
Rubio avoided the pointed about his not attending committee hearings by claiming that he gets briefings. Briefings are like skipping class and borrowing a friends notes to get caught up on what you missed.
The Republican establishment loves Rubios look and bio. No one in establishment politics can figure out why he is failing. Sen. Rubios constant habit of self-destructing every time he opens his mouth is why his presidential campaign is going nowhere fast.
Rubio wants to be in the Senate so that he can run for president, but he appears to have no interest in doing his job as a Senator. Marco Rubios lack of commitment to the people who elected to serve him is the reason he doesnt deserve to be in the Senate, much less be considered a serious contender for the White House.
The US citizenship conferred upon children born on this soil is based on an interpretation of the 14th Amendment, dating back to the time when Chinese laborers were imported in great numbers for various construction projects. Some few also managed to import wives as well, and of course, there were children born on US soil. The temporary laborers were sent back, but claims came many years later demanding these children, born on US soil, be granted US citizenship. By twisting and torturing the language of the 14th Amendment, the demands were carried out, and there came to be a large Chinese-language underclass in many West Coast port cities, all of whom are US citizens, but still unschooled in even the least rudiments of US culture.
Now, by belaboring this same language, the law is now contorted into accepting ANY child born on US soil as an automatic birthright citizen, regardless of the legal status of the parents. The only exceptions made are for diplomatic personnel, who even though they may be resident in the US, are not subject to the jurisdiction of US law.
Gulp!
