Erdogan is Obama's best buddy.

I'm sure Obama would LOVE to do what it is said Erdogan is about to do.

Reports are that it is clear that Erdogan and the AKP party will loose the November 1st election, but are going to proceed anyway to turn Turkey into a Dictatorship.

In the past the Turkish military would be expected to end this type of action. But it appears Erdogan has subverted that mechanism.

Remember, Turkey is a NATO member. Remember the US has armed them.

Guess we shall soon see.

Somewhere back three or four years ago....there were a couple of Turk Army officers arrested and to be tried for coup discussions against him. That effectively took an entire layer of the Army out of circulation. Since that point, I suspect that none of the top layer of Turk Army officers will discuss their negativity over the issue in any forum or with anyone.

The thing is...in Erdogan’s weakened state of political acceptance, when he might need military support....there’s nothing there.

While I am no serious student of Turkish politics, the parallels with Obama and our Democrat Socialist party are quite evident. We better pay attention.

It is past time for direct action against Erdogan. It will have to be covert and quick because the US and the EU will back the “official” government. The Turkish military seems to be completely neutered, so it will probably fall to others to stop the palace coup or Turkey will become another Islamist dictatorship and a terrorist state where all the internal opposition will simply be killed or jailed indefinitely.

It’s funny what ambition can accomplish when it comes to corrupting people. Exhibit 1 is Obama’s subversion of the US military by selective promotion of compliant generals.

Turkey is on its way to Islamism and it is NOT to be trusted. And we cannot let Turkey have a veto as to who the US military allies with (e.g., the Kurds). Turkey KNOWS that they have a friend in the Obama Regime.

Don’t know much about Turkey, but it would seem that with Erdogan as a new Ottoman, it’s likely that radical Islam will make advances in what has been, until now, a relatively modern and secular country.

President Ovomit will support Turkey's dictator because he is a in line with the Muslim Brotherhood agenda...no matter what he does, Ovomit will applaud.

the Turks are evil. they refuse to admit to committing genocide against Armenian Christians (1-1.5 million were killed). here's a historical picture of a Turkish/Ottoman muslim official teasing starving Christian children with a piece of bread.

i've never considered that country to be a reliable, secular ally. they've always been just a gentle nudge away from becoming an islamist country, and that's precisely what Erdogan is doing... nudging them in that direction.

Agreed. Their history is pretty bloody and full of adventurism too.

That might explain why Erdogan’s been a bit cozy with elements of ISIS. What is the West likely to do if Erdogan imports some ISIS people to help retain power?

EVERYTHING obama does either:
a) Weakens America/Americans
b) Distances America's allies
c) Strengthens America's enemies
d) Attacks Christianity
e) Serves Islam
f) Harms Israel
Or some combination of the above.
There are NO counter examples.

“Up till now they have always gotten whatever they wanted. That era is over. Now it's our turn,” Erdoğan allegedly told the skeptics

Erdogan thinks he has decapitated the military the way Imam Hussein has decapitated the American military and that the military will be loyal to him and not to the Republic of which it is the Constitutional guardian. We shall see.

AKP party will loose the November 1st election,

AKP is going to untie the election? What does that signify? What is it tied to?

People keep saying 0 is incompetent .
He isn’t , he knows what he is doing .
The Turks were the first he called when he was first elected.
He is trying to revive the Ottoman Empire .
This is why we should NEVER arm any muslim country .

Come spring it will probably get pretty bloody in Europe
expect lots of trouble here too

Actually, I think he’d go the opposite way and have ISIS attacks conducted within Turkey and want the common Turkish guy to think that only I (Erdogan) were capable of taking on this harsh threat. The public might be naive enough to believe that....at least for a year....and eventually ISIS would admit in some stupid interview that they were simply supporting his agenda.

You have to remember....ISIS is more or less ‘brown-shirt’ thugs supported by various Saudi enthusiasts (not necessarily the gov’t itself). They will work for anyone’s agenda as long as Islam is somewhere in the mix.

Or it might mean that the military will act against him as is their Constitutional duty and the remaining officers and NCOs learned to keep their tongues still. The military has been stripped of more than a few of its top patriotic officers. I don't think the field grade officers have been affected, though, and they, being career soldiers along with the top NCOs, might just do their Duty in which case Erdogan will not continue n power. Or they might not. I am hoping they will act according to their function as it is mandated in the Constitution.

This is what BENGHAZI was all about
He is using ISIS to fight a proxy war to gain more power and land .

They are going to make it so crazy in that area that people will BEG Turkey to rule it all .
