Hotels often have their own immediate security anyway. Better if he says, oops, legal carriers allowed.
I do not plan to open carry but a good thing about the new law is that I cannot be arrested for accidentally exposing my weapon anymore.
I seem to recall that just because a property has Trump’s name on it does not mean that he has any control over the policies. In a number of cases he gave up the actual ownership of several properties that still display his name.
If you think Texas carry laws still suck mightily, please visit some of the large dark blue states. If Texas' carry laws suddenly appeared here, we'd all think we had died and gone straight to heaven.
Dud You Joined Sept 2915 to Trash Trump !!

I live in Ohio and I carry EVERYWHERE. The heck with those signs.
I’m not going to lose my life because a darn piece of paper taped to a door.
I tend to limit my activity to places that don’t post the signs. The only time it’s really a problem is when I’m entering government offices. I hate unholstering and reholstering my weapon while in a car. It’s an accidental discharge waiting to happen especially if you’re carrying a Glock and contrary to well established safe firearms handling protocols.
Wth?? Get a grip! I support Trump but I may have to rethink it if I’m aligning with a putz like you
There was a lot of Texas-style kabuki theater regarding open carry when Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick first took office at the beginning of the year. He ran, of course, on open carry but then flipped it off the radar by saying things like Don’t have the votes, Not top priority, etc. I can only imagine the cold fury of the base and the pressure on the politicans. (I actually thought the rifle protests were quite clever in getting the point across.) Patrick did a 180, put it in gear to save his reputation, and got the bill passed. I’m not sure when Texans got to be such kittens about gun carry. I remember seeing filled rifle racks in nearly every pickup I passed on the road when I was in college and never thought anything of it.
What other rights may someone deny others due to that someone's property rights?
They could be denied the 'right' to come on the owners property and scream in his face, thus exercising their First Amendment rights.
What else ya got?
When did Trump get SS protection? I haven't heard of that.
What else ya got?
Since you bring up the First Amendment: being on the owner's property after having been invited there, could they be denied the Free Speech right to say "No" to a sexual request, or any other request? And could they be denied the Liberty Right to leave?
Not necessarily. The insurance carrier for our church will reimburse elders and deacons for the cost of a concealed handgun license.
GA is similar to VA, and I concur, that’s the way it should be.
If the lawyers had their way, even our military would not be carrying guns.
What? Military ALREADY not allowed to carry guns! That recent mass shooting by a radical Islamist killed several defenseless military personnel in a military building.
Like the other poster said, I am not taking any chances because of a sign which says no guns. I can’t wait 10-15 minutes for the cops to respond if someone attacks me or my family.
Just FYI for those who may not know, the new open carry laws in Texas don’t take effect until January 1, 2016.
In watching the Debate, when the so called Commentator asked Trump about carrying a Concealed Weapon, he then came up with the “issue” that some of Trump’s Properties have a No Gun Policy.
It was just another setup question that was thought through before the question was asked. A planned Gotcha, nothing more. It was Candy Crowley with her Obama Cheat Sheet.
Notice how Democrats never get Gotcha Questions? They only get Butt Kissing questions and Commentators making excuses for their behavior.
Well, since I asked first, let’s see what your answer to my question is first.
