Very depressing, but I congratulate the Royals. In truth they consistently outplayed the Mets. The better team won.

The two teams combined for eight errors in five games, it was a sloppy series. Hosmer, for example, is being hailed for scoring from third on an aggressive run after a ground out. If Duda makes a good throw there, Hosmer is out by 10’ and the Meta win the game.

Given the marathon games, I think it was closer. It just seems that the Royals were great at closing the game. They were down mid-way most of the time.
