Those French Airbus pilots over the Atlantic had many minutes to notice there was a problem and try to deal with it, even though they probably did not recognize what was happening or deal with it correctly
In this accident the cockpit voice recorder supposedly had a faint noise at the moment of catastrophe- then nothing- while at 31K feet... Just like Pan Am 103

One news story had photos that showed parts of the fuselage peeled ‘out’.

Seems to be some disagreement here:
Russian aviation agency head Alexander Neradko says claim by Metrojet official that Egypt crash was not a technical or pilot error is ‘premature and not based on any real facts’ - @AP

Like it floated down or something. Thatâs exactly what is expected with a breakup at high altitude.
The only time you get a crater is if a large intact aircraft is flown directly into the ground in one piece at high speed.
Obviously that is not what happened here, and all the experts have said so.

Just wondering. Do you ever look at people’s profiles before answering their posts?

Not normally. I hope I didnât give offense with my joking reply to your post. I also donât know what I might have found by looking at your profile that would have deterred me from a little levity.

I just had a look at your profile page, I was impressed as it was the most elaborate I have ever looked at. You have a very interesting life, I must say. I also note that I find Australia a most compelling place and visit from time to time as I have investments there.

No wurries mate, I always like to check out people’s profile page. I had lots of help in ideas of how to put it up thanks to some folks here. They taught me a lot about html programming.
