Gates, give away all your money to Americans whose jobs have gone overseas, or been replaced by non-Americans, and then shut the hell up.
I am not diametrically opposed to a “Manhattan Project” initiative to get us completely energy independent. It is a matter of National Security. I’m tired of kissing the Arabs’ butts just to ensure energy supplies.
Then give away all your software.

Socialism is designed by the very rich and elite to tax the middling rich and the middleclass enough, to give to the poor, to keep the middle class and middling rich out of their neighbourhoods.
Now that Gates has declared himself and enemy of the very capitalism that made him uber wealthy, he has to be regarded as a dangerous enemy of all conservatives and other freedom loving Americans. Dangerous mainly because of his enormous wealth.

Um - the Manhattan Project was on its way to bringing us energy independence. At lease when it came to electricity (which would include battery powered commuter cars, buses, etc.)

Wasn’t Paul Allen Bill Gates’ partner in Microsoft. AS I recall, Allen owns the Seattle Seahawks and demanded that that citizens of Seattle fund his new one billion dollar stadium or he was going to take the team to another city?? And that Allen spent millions of his own money on the ad campaign to ensure that the public funding passed the plebescite by a miniscule margin? Why doesn’t Mr. Allen share some of the enormous value of the Seahawks with the Seattle taxpayers? I guess its socialism when someone else is footing the bill, you don’t want to spend a dime of yours and you reap the benefits of a luxurious stadium.

He’s rich because of Capitalism and stealing other peoples programs and ideas.
Maybe Gates should be mindful that the biggest demand for electricity during the last 2 decades has come from electronic gadgets, like computers.

I think that either very large amounts of money rots your brain, OR, having got theirs they want to hobble anyone else who might duplicate their achievement.
