My theory is it’s a scam meant to introduce Stalinesque communism through the back door. They knew it would raise the healthcare costs - and it will go higher until very few people can afford it - at the same time they raise the fines to astronomical levels. I believe already they’ve raised it 400%. Then they do away with the law saying the IRS cannot use liens/possessions of your property to satisfy those fines. So you’ll find people owing tens of thousands in these fines and walla.. *poof*.. we have collectivism, redistribution of wealth. Goodbye house, car, property, the government now owns everything and will see fit as to who owns what.
Obamacare is basically a fascist construct. Mussolini would not have designed it differently himself.
A highly controlled and regulated government market. Every citizen is forced to buy the product on offer. Specially-connected private players are allowed to participate in the oligopoly, and make a minimal profit with government protection. In turn, they fully support the government party’s political and policy aims.
Mandatory maternity coverage for everyone! No longer permitted to price insurance based upon gender!
There you go, folks, take the most expensive prices before, those are your baseline, now add 10% each year (up to 40% for those over 40.)
Oh, and you’re paying at least twice the amount in deductible than you were before.

Maybe the extra suffering that is coming will help some see the light.
If ObamaCare was car insurance, you oil changes would be covered but it wold cost you $500 extra per year and your deductible would be $2,500. But hey, no no need to pay for a $20-30 oil change.
I don’t really. Because to this day many people are determined to ignore inconvenient truths like that and repeat their mistakes out of spite. Anything but stop making them or admitting they screwed up and actually working to fix the problem.
I just like hearing the sound of my own typing really. God knows few actually listen and think about it ;)
It’s a scam to introduce Stalinism into the country. The government will use the fines to take everything you own. They’ll make the cost too high for any to afford while raising the fines through the roof then the government will have an excuse to use liens and property possessions to collect the fines. If Hitlery is next POTUS it will happen.
It’s only because they haven’t stolen enough money from “the rich” yet.

When my MIL said that, I immediately did an about face and walked out of the room. Must maintain composure and relations. Sigh...
