Virginia Election Thread - Discussion and Results
I am going to vote right now in my new left wing district. Important School board election in Fairfax Co.
I’m in FFX Cty also and voting today. Can you share the cliff notes for whom I should consider pulling the lever in the school board?
You might want to “clean house”.

Just voted this a.m. In my Gloucester Point precinct. Very quiet.
Sheriff race with white encumbant another white and a black. At the pole this morning both white candidates had pile workers there. The black candidate.. None.. Got those black votes in the bag. And with the demographics a third party candidate pretty much predecides the outcome. Get you free bubble up and rainbow stew voting. When is the true majority going to wise up.
25-percent turnout expected.
Let’s take more Senate seats!
Replace the FFX school board.
Kind of like your governor's election last time - the LIEbertarian was a paid stalking horse to siphon votes away from McAuliffe's opponent.
Iâm glad our election is over. This had to be one of the most negative campaigns Iâve seen.
I had to vote for a Democrat and a little part of me died today.
Voting later, after an eye apptmt...hope I can still see the ballot but probably won’t make a diff...
What’s better in VA, voting with machine (Soros fixed?) or paper ballot (can be found later in car trunk?)....?
Hey there! Hope all’s well.
I tend to trust the paper ballots far more. They were the tried-and-true method, but some opted for the touch-screen.
In what part of VA are you? Gloucester County here.
25-percent turnout expected.
Letâs take more Senate seats!
Yep. Up until now, the GOP majority in both houses of the legislature has relegated Fast Terry to little more than paperweight status... we need to keep it that way.
As for that expected 25% turnout, that’s actually pretty impressive for an off-year election. When I voted in Gloucester County this a.m., it was very quiet at the precinct... one there when I arrived, and one arriving as I left. Hope it picks up.
Newport News.
Hey Scott!
Chugging along here...
How’re the gigs goin’ ?
They’re going well, thanks!
It’s been a bit slower since late Summer.. our most recent was a Celtic set at the Renaissance Faire at Endview in early October near Yorktown... we were rained out of Occasion for the Arts in Williamsburg. We’re slated for some Christmas gigs around the area, and will be doing a Pirate set on First Night at Colonial Williamsburg on New Year’s eve.
Just voted here in north Stafford County. One person leaving, two voting, and me. Very quiet now. My two children just left the house to go vote.
Even with the influx of liberals from Maryland, Fairfax Cty, and DC, Stafford is still very conservative. 64% vote for the Republicans in the last election (I know some of them were not conservative but we do the best we can).
I wonder what it will be like when the Govies come home from work this evening. My wife will get home from Ft Meade and vote then. We’ll get a lot of Dem votes then.
Parking lot full in York County at 9:00. Thank goodness I’m in a conservative county!
