A large segment of white middle-aged Americans has suffered a startling rise in its death rate since 1999, reversing decades of progress, according to a new review of statistics published Monday.
The mortality rate for white men and women between the ages of 45 and 54 with less than a college education increased by half a percent per year between 1999 and 2013, most likely because of problems with legal and illegal drugs, alcohol, and suicide, according to the study released in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences....
The rising death rate was accompanied by a parallel increase in the rate of illness, the authors wrote.
"Drugs and alcohol, and suicide ... are clearly the proximate cause," said Angus Deaton, the 2015 Nobel laureate in economics, who co-authored the paper....
"Half a million people are dead who should not be dead," he added. "About 40 times the Ebola stats. You're getting up there with HIV-AIDS."
Since at least 1970, Americans and residents of other wealthy countries have generally enjoyed longer and healthier lives, as smoking has declined, better treatments have been developed and preventive measures have had an impact on mortality.
But these bleak findings could have far-reaching implications as the surviving members of this sizable segment of the Baby Boom continue toward retirement and eligibility for Medicare, according to experts....
"This is the first indicator that the plane has crashed," said Jonathan Skinner, a professor of economics at Dartmouth College, who reviewed the study and co-authored a commentary that appears with it. "I don't know what's going on, but the plane has definitely crashed."

5. Multiple stupid wars (Vietnam and Iraq) that have claimed the lives of many of your relatives and/or friends. Those severely injured are left to deal with an ineffective VA that barely can do anything right for years on end. Despite that. politicians of both parties have time to appease and bend over backwards for SJW causes and illegal immigrants.
6. Watch illegal immigrants be given preferential status in many instances; including the labor market, welfare benefits, and our WASP cultural being destroyed.
7. Experience once feminine and thin women turn into fat disgusting slobs who abuse the court system to extract every cent of child support possible. No one cares that you can’t pay or see your kids frequently.
Some people are simply going to be overwhelmed with all the aforementioned and give up. For those left that are left, sadness will eventually turn to anger. There is a reason why The Donald is doing as well as he is in the polls. A storm several decades in the making is coming.

This nation is destroying it’s citizens period. In all my years the obesity problem has never been so prevalent. This brought on or should I say bought with the reign of the won. Free stuffff can’t get enough of those coco puffs. Where are the specs on overweight life passes and the racial profiling on IT.
They see very clearly what is going on in Europe and North America and are just getting a head start on the suicide that the white race is committing in every single one of its former homelands. The future for whites is bleak.

I have to wonder too if all of the ‘preventative’ and other drugs (adhd, depression, etc.) drugs being (intentionally?) loaded on Americans played a part of big part of this too.
I have to also agree with the posts which state removing God from the lives of folks being a major cause too.

These folks can’t afford to get sick anymore. So they avoid seeing a doctor and as a result more of them die, having forgone early diagnosis and treatment ?
