Donald Trump: If Ben Carson hosted ‘SNL’ nobody would watch
Yahoo Political News ^ | 11/5 | Matt Bai

Donald Trump is prepping for his upcoming role as host of “Saturday Night Live” the only way he knows how: by boasting about his ratings — and insulting his Republican opponents.

The real estate mogul, who was replaced as host of NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice” following his controversial comments about Mexican immigrants, says it’s no surprise NBC asked him to host “SNL.”

“You’re never at war when you get great ratings,” Trump said Wednesday on CNN’s “New Day.” “Nobody gets ratings like me.”

SNL can be for some a killer for their campaign. I still think it was a mistake for Sarah Palin to go on there. She looks like a joke. OTOH, Trump has a way of mocking himself, and it looking really cool. Did you see him with Jimmy Fallon?

But people really will ignore all this and whine “Trump made fun of Ben Carson so I can’t support him”. That is foolish, and shooting yourselves in the foot. Would people really be willing to let the bigger issues of 19 trillion debt and the country going down the tubes go just because the only person with a demonstrated capability of fixing them said bad things about another candidate??

Have you considered that some of us might not agree that Trump has a "demonstrated capability" of fixing this country's YUGE problems?

Why do you think Hillary will win?

- 1st female president buzz (like 1st black president buzz worked for Obama)
- historical lock on electoral vote with exception of a few swing states
- MSM power
- dem dirty tricks, illegal & dead votes can shoe in the rest
- etc etc

If Obama can be elected twice I think it will be as easy or easier for Hillary. Trump will rally many to his cause but there will also be many turned off by the pompous obnoxious factor

Yes. Name another candidate that that has more potential based on demonstrated capability. There aren’t any. Did you read Carl’s corporate inversion letter?? Name another candidate that is rolling on an issue like that. There aren’t any.

I think anyone who disagrees Trump has demonstrated more understanding and capability to fix what needs to be fixed, far more than any other candidate, is wrong.

Trump spoke specifically about that - these 50 will be marked and sought after by ISIS. He is THE ONLY candidate who has mentioned that.

The problem is too many people know Trump only through The Apprentice and Miss America. That’s why they call him a “celebrity” candidate. Too many are clueless to facts like Trump has bought tens of millions of John Deere equipment. That a woman managed the Trump Tower construction project. That his executive staff is 50% women - who are often paid more then men.

What gripes me the most are those idiot pundits on Bret Bair esp that young guy who’s with some conservative magazine. He hates Trump and dismisses him. On Casino Friday, NONE of them are betting more than $5 or $10 on the guy. THEY STILL THINK RUBIO.

I think the guy who has the best chance is Cruz in the coming weeks. But I think in the end the ticket will be Trump/Cruz. It has to be. Those two are the two best candidates running.

All those electoral college academics sitting in their ivory towers. They should never be given tenure. ;-)

It’s incredible, really. FR will become a much more reasonable, rational place (as it was until, oh, six months ago) when the Trump phenomenon flames out...

TDS is on the uptake, here.

The establishment is getting more and more desperate.

Yes. Yes, they are.

How, exactly, does your Dear Leader plan to make them pay for the wall?

Has one country EVER forced another country to pay for its wall along the border between the two countries?

Face it: "Mexico is going to pay for it" is, like much of what Dear Leader Trump says, a great applause line at campaign rallies, but is a totally unrealistic policy proposal. Not gonna happen.

It's pretty easy to make Mexico pay for the wall if you think out of the box. Impose tariffs on certain products coming from Mexico is one way. Another way is to take money out of the processing fees that legal immigrants need to pay to come in here. Those are two ways that it took me 30 seconds to come up with.

It's only simpletons who believe that the only way to get Mexico to pay for something is to send them an itemized bill - that of course they would never pay.

Look in the mirror for your “dear Leader” crap, RINO.

If you truly bothered to listen to him (I know you can’t, your TDS is in full bloom), you’d know exactly how he will, indeed, get Mexico to build the wall.

The ONLY naysayers are the ones who actually don’t want the wall built, or the constant flood of illegals - from EVERYWHERE - to stop coming in.

Your “dear Leader” Jebbers finds this hateful, I know. But, guess what? The MAJORITY of taxpaying AMERICANS want the wall built. The majority of Republicans...and many crossover Dim/Independent voters want Trump to be the one to have Mexico pay for it.

Wrong.

You’re exactly right. Trump has explained similar avenues on numerous interviews.

I love how these TDS’ers slam the message...but don’t ever actually take the time to research what Trump has said/done policy wise. It’s obvious with the drivel they post.

I don’t agree with every candidate running. If I have something to say about their policies, I take the time to research it before making a complete fool of myself posting inane nonsense.

Yeah, that's not "Mexico" paying for the wall. That would be American consumers--y'know, the ones buying those products--paying for the wall.

But sure, increase taxes on American consumers and pretend Mexico is paying....That's a real conservative policy you've got there, buddy.

That’s all right, chump, I never watch it anyway, especially when “hosted” by bad-haired egomaniacal liberals masquerading as conservatives.

You’ve outed yourself.

You are NO conservative.

You don’t want the wall built. You’re upset that the majority of the country does and that Trump has hit the heart of the BIGGEST problem we now face.

Illegal Immigration effects ALL segments/issues....Economy, Foreign Affairs/Terrorism, Jobs and on and on.

Your dear Leader to Nowhere just can’t make ANY case, that the American people want to hear. Get over it.

Im a supporter but getting less so. Trumps big NYC mouth isnt doing him any good. Why attack allies? Trump has plenty of FOLLOWERS but getting fewer supporters. His big mouth will let a lot of decent folks down.

Im a supporter also, and I agree. Let us figure out what's going on with Carson for ourselves, Donald.

It’s that big deal of an insult. He’s just saying that he’s a bit boring, which I think is probably true.
