I thought that only a Congressman, or Senator, could offer appointment to the military academies.
What a pathetic hit piece. Anyone admitted to West Point gets a full ride. Anyone admitted must first be nominated by a Congressman or prominent military official. It is highly likely that Westmoreland and others at said banquet offered to nominate Carson because he was the top ROTC cadet in Detroit at the time.
You can’t survive something like this.
The man is a brain surgeon, that’s an extraordinary accomplishment, why would he feel the need to lie to make himself look good?
Carson’s campaign team should have done due diligence on his resume! Why didn’t they check these claims out before?
They should have known that any conservative black republican would be closely scrutinized!
I already had doubts about him, but this borders on Stolen Valor. And to think he’s been telling this lie for years and years. I guess West Point is not like Disney, they don’t check out every single misuse of their corporate name. Ben!! Now you wear the Scarlet Letter of the obvious Liar.
The sad part is.. his story would’ve been compelling enough without the fabrications.
Damn, Ben... WTH were you thinking?
Q. Who defeated Ben Carson in the GOP 2016 primaries?
A. Ben Carson
I knew their was something creepy about him. He’s the black version of Joe Biden, a pathological liar. Stick a fork in him, he’s done.
Big Dummy!!
Unfriggen believable.
I am stunned.
Stunned.
He's now the walking dead.
This thread, unfortunately, if true, hurts. I don’t get why people feel the need to prop up their story to make it more interesting when their life in question is already remarkable. No doubt Dr. Ben has had some amazing experiences so it’s sad he would find the need to add some “fluff” to it.
Still, in hindsight, I don’t think this stacks up with HRC’s claim of being under “sniper fire” and all the other lies she told. At least Dr. Ben was serving in ROTC and had the credentials to back up an application and given the climate at the time, he most likely would have gotten in easily with his credentials. He chose not to apply and purused another successful career.
It’s sad though. Just something people can throw stones at.
I think they’re all racists for even ASKING Dr. Carson (who’s black, in case you didn’t know!) about his past!
/sarc, or not?
Maybe it was all a set up by Obama and the dims/GOPe from the start.
...and the Candy Crowley (sp) episode with Romney
Two coincidences are coincidences...
but three are a trend.

"@Robostop10: @realDonaldTrump This is not good. http://www.politico.com/story/2015/11/ben-carson-west-point-215598 â¦" WOW, one of many lies by Ben Carson! Big story.

he should have claimed to be american indian, and bumped real indians out of jobs. that’s ok..
I liked this guy from the first moment he surfaced at the National Prayer Breakfast when he schooled obama. However recent things have bubbled to the surface like the infomercial, pyramid theory, and this story make me wonder if the guy is playing with a full deck. Like Ron Paul, I like a lot of things he’s said but there’s something not entirely right about the guy.
Well crap! 1) I am very disappointed that Ben Carson would lie. 2)He was my go to after Trump and Cruz. I wouldn’t have been terribly disappointed to vote for him. Not my choice but would have been okay since it was my impression he is a strong Christian. Would be wonderful to have a Christian leader in the White House.
OK, now there are three: Trump, Cruz and Rubio. â¦and the soon-to-drop-out dwarfs.
According to the article and people interviewed, he would have been accepted if he had applied.
I don’t support him for president but I’m not going to write him off. After all the horrible lies of Obama, Hillary, Biden and the rest, I’m not going to write off one or two white lies.
Libs loathe black conservatives and accuse them of all the old stuff - lying, going after white women, etc., just like they pulled with Cain and Thomas.
