So be it.
This is POLITICO working hard to bury Carson.
This will help Trump.
Perhaps they think this will help Rubio, but it won't.
Rubio is rising in large part due to picking up Bush support, as Jebbie goes down the tubes.
There is still a huge anti-politician sentiment out there and I can't see very many Carson OR Trump supporters suddenly deciding to throw their vote to an establishment candidate.
As a non-politician, Carly Fiorina could have been in that Trump/Carson tier and thus benefit by Carson dropping out, but I think she ruined her chances by acting too much like an establishment politician and taking an opportunity (at the debates) to take a cheap shot at Trump while Trump was extending an olive branch.
Really? You see the Carsonites, the adorers of good manners and soft-spokeness and "christian authenticity" to run right past Ted and Marco and head straight for The Donald? Really? I see this as a boost for Cruz and Rubio, the only other serious candidates besides Trump, because that's where the Carsonites will go.
The way I see it, this helps us all. Keeps us from getting saddled with a potential nominee who makes up completely unnecessarily and easily refutable lies.
“This is POLITICO working hard to bury Carson.”
POLITICO is equal opportunity in slandering conservatives.
