Movie tickets, Costco and grocery store runs, Walt Disney World trips, flowers and flights for his wife –- those are some of the charges listed in two years of statements for Marco Rubio’s American Express card issued by the Republican Party of Florida.

The charges -- which have surfaced along with questions about his personal finances as an issue for the GOP candidate in the 2016 campaign -- are listed in two years (2007-'08) of statements obtained by ABC News that have been widely circulated in Florida political circles since Rubio ran for Senate in 2010. The Rubio campaign plans soon to release the records for the two other years (2005-'06) he had the card.

Should be simple enough to look at the Amex statement and check for two payment transactions per month

Rubio has not been arrested nor will he be. Millions upon millions use their company charge card for purchases that are not authorized and pay them back. Rubio is no different. He is more common with America then Trump and his Secret Service........extreme low percentage have protection in America. So who do you think really is ok here?

He was asked for the records as early as 2010. It doesn’t take 5 years.

The link above is to a research document about Rubio. It is not, necessarily, all true but it does raise questions that should be answered.

Raise your hand if you always charged personal stuff on your corporate card and didn’t get fired.

The policy in my company was the person was fired on the spot. It's past tense, because I'm retired.

Sounds like a Hillary type thing. Keep it professional and separate business from personal.

Pretty strict policy. I don’t disagree with it.

Sorry to sound like Bill Clinton, but it depends on how you define “personal.” My company issued credit cards to my employees. There have been many instances of what some would consider “personal” expenses charged and the company covers without reimbursement. If they are on a business trip, they may charge their meals whether with clients or not. They may also get incidental items at Walmart or a grocery store if they feel necessary. Again, this is during a period of (usually) company time and travel, if after hours. Anyway, an outside accountant reviewed all charges and only on a few occasions did he have any questions. Even fewer times did we ask for an explanation. On only one occasion that I can recall specifically (there may have been others I didn’t know about handled between the accountant and the employee) where I told them they needed to reimburse and that was when they mixed alcohol and a meal — a company no-no, but hardly the crime of the century.

I bet if you review those statements, you’d see something very similar to what Rubio had.

DNC talking point.

He paid up his private expenses every month.

Meanwhile nothing at all to learn about Hillary or Sanders in the last 2 weeks.

However, he should have used his personal credit card for personal purchases. That he did not shows poor judgment.

It was. These charges were paid by Rubio. If they didn't have a problem with it why should anyone else? Paid at the end of the month. Check out by an ethics panel. No problem. Not taxpayer money.

Yeah, I know that, but why can't the accusers figure it out....and if the Republican Party of Florida is satisfied....what business is it of anyone else???????

this was unauthorized us of a credit card over $1000. That is a felony in any state in the union. It is a fatal flaw in what was his campaign.

Total nonsense....if the owner of the credit card does not complain, then it becomes an authorized use...think about it.

“He should have used his own credit card for his personal items and the GOP card for GOP business items. That way there would be no problem. He chose not to do that and in politics that is probably not a wise move on his part.”

Not unlike using one’s personal email server for transacting an employer’s business instead of using the employer’s email server. Again, not a wise move and a termination offense for most people in the private sector.

Politicians such as Rubio and Hillary perceive they are “different” from you and me. If any of my employers had discovered I was using a business credit card for personal expenses I would have been fired immediately, even if I was promptly reimbursing the personal expenses. The same goes with the company email server. If I was transacting company business on my own server or account, I’d have been fired.

If we conservatives condemn Hillary for her unethical behavior, we need to do the same for GOP politicians.

“Costco” is only one item of many. You can put blinders on if you want.

You're the one with blinders....not one cent of this money came from the taxpayer....NONE....it was all willingly donated to the Republican Party of Florida and it is nobody's business, except their donors, what they do with it....NONE.

Don't forget, Rubio did have to keep his stash of bottled spring water well-stocked (due to his long- standing public difficulties with severe and profusely excessive hyperhidrosis, polyhidrosis, diaphoresis, sudation, and sudorrhea), and bottled spring water isn't cheap these days.
