Why the Paris climate treaty will be the flop of the year
Telegraph (UK) ^ | Cristopher Booker

Posted on 11/10/2015 8:19:37 AM PST by Lorianne

At the end of this month 40,000 politicians, officials, green activists, lobbyists and journalists from 195 nations will converge outside Paris – at Europe’s largest airport reserved only for private jets – for a conference that they hope will change the world.

Their declared aim is to agree a treaty committing everyone to such a massive cut in their emissions of greenhouse gases that this might somehow prevent the earth’s temperatures rising more than 2 degrees C higher than they were when the climate began naturally warming again two centuries ago.

The chief obstacle to such an agreement is exactly the same as it was at Kyoto in 1997 and at that last mammoth conference which so signally failed to get Kyoto renewed at Copenhagen in 2009. The vast majority of countries have argued all along that, if man-made CO2 is causing a problem, the fault lies with those “developed” nations that became rich before everyone else by burning fossil fuels to power their industrial revolution.

It is therefore up to the developed countries of the West to make the most drastic cuts, leaving the still “developing” nations to catch up. They say they are prepared to make some contribution to reducing CO2, but only if they are paid to do so out of a $100 billion a year “Green Climate Fund”, financed by the rich countries that originally created the problem.

Cause Vlad Putin has already publicly denounced climate change as crap.

Kinda hard to have a global agreement under those circumstances.

In Paris the Western elite will debate the finer points of climate change, and assess penalties on each other. Meanwhile, the Chinese and Indians will laugh and carry on as usual.

Just a form of wealth transfer - a.k.a. socialism.

This treaty may be ineffectual, but it does codify the idea that “climate change” is a viable reason to steal from the world’s productive people.

The acceptance of that principle is a huge step toward the climate fascists’ goals.

LOL! And miss a chance to rub (fill in your own blank)_________ with all the celebs that’ll be flying in? I hear 40,000 when you include staff, fetchers and gophers for the 10,000 or so invitees.

Europe’s largest airport reserved only for private jets

The first order of business should be to BAN ALL CARBON BASED ENERGY SALES at this Airport

A perfect storm since there is no way to validate the results of all this “save the world” crap over several decades.

our dear leader is going there to hand over our nation’s sovereignty to the Un and it’s going to be a flop? He WILL get what he’s after- He will come back and issue executive orders on climate control that will cripple this country

Sadly the talks will not be a flop for his radical deceitful agenda

Folks- The UN is preparing the next big lie/excuse about climate change as we speak

They are preparing to address the climate change meeting in france and claim that 100 million people will go into poverty as a result of climate change

The nefarious reason behind this asinine claim is to exonerate their themselves when their climate change policies plunge millions into poverty because they can’t afford the higher prices on everything, the increased business regulations, the carbon taxes and fines

When economies around the world begin collapsing because of climate regulations, the UN will declare it is not because of their regulations, but because ‘we didn’t act soon enough to combat climate change’

The other dishonest thing they will be doing at the climate meeting is shaming rich countries into forking over trillions of dollars to poor countries, claiming that rich countries are causing climate change and plunging poor countries into further poverty

The UN has already planned and implemented their excuse for when the earth cools for the next couple of decades- They are going to blame it on the ‘large cold blob of water in the oceans’ that now exists and is changing climate patterns around the globe

I just wish one or two senators had the guts to stand up and ask these LIARS how just 0.0036% of our atmosphere can be capturing enough heat that the earth can’t cool off- 99.9967% of the atmosphere has NO co2 in it due to man- There is no thick suffocating blanket of CO2 I nthe atmosphere preventing heat from escaping and back radiating heat to earth to warm the planet! In order for man to be the cause of climate change, we would need to produce so much cO2 that a thick blanket covered the entire atmosphere, or most of it anyways- trapping most of the escaping heat and back radiating it to earth
